At any rate, my blood boils... even to think of "People" like that "guy" and those who enabled the crimes. Damage to Parents of the victims.. Those girls, heartbreaking. Yes, every country has some things like that (children being a used in many ways and corruption) going on and on, of course you already know that. Best wishes!

This is one of the best/worst cases of government corruption in the world, and we all keep digging at it until we find the truth. This is just like the government coverup of the Houston Mass Murders, the John Wayne Gacy affair and the John David Normon pedophile network that connected them and many others. The real story is not told. Fearing monster humans is what the government wants us to do so we rely more heavily upon them, while they continue to be behind it all.

The coverup with this one runs so deep. Tons of witnesses murdered, the fact that Dutroux is let out of prison like a mafia don, and the fact that he had all of these very expensive properties and the resources to construct these dungeons. If one man was doing these sick things for himself, he wouldn't need these resources. Look at the monster Josef Fritzl, he kept everything close. @@theresaheywood9479 not exactly at all. Those who create prison rules know a bit more about how to run our systems than you do. Instead of just agreeing without questioning what you are agreeing to please try to see all sides. In almost every country a jail term is not fixed. Parole and early release aren’t just implemented for the hell of it. Do you also want to tear up our sentencing structures? After decades of refining from previous crimes? Because you’d have to. That’s some big job and for what? A system that couldn’t work thanks to human rights. I could give more examples of why this is so fucking stupid. Hopefully a lesson learnt. My guess is that it’s a psychological tool they use to keep prisoners’ behavior in check, encourage them to be good and reward that behavior. It’s easy to stand in judgement out here where we have freedom, but you’ll never really know what you’re capable of until you get thrown into a cutthroat environment. Maintaining a clean record is challenging, I’m guessing, especially when you’re facing such long sentences. It’d be easy to say F it.

This documentary left out the connections to a child sexual trafficking ring that lead all the way up to the highest offices in Belgium. 29 people connected to the ring and eyewitnesses set to testify all ended up crashing cars, shooting themselves in the back, falling in front of trains, having their inhalers spiked with GHB, etc. Dutroux was unemployed but had access to more than 8 properties values in the millions of dollars and multiple businesses were linked to itz

@@indiglo1971 go read about “Boys Town: The Franklin coverup.” For decades high level politicians and businessmen were trafficking boys from the largest Catholic orphanage in America from Nebraska to DC. Funny enough, it was the orphanage Charles Manson was raised in and makes you wonder just how well connected Manson was as well. We are talking about VIPs in the Bush and Reagan administration, the very top, shipping these kids around the country for sex trafficking. These are the people the peasants of America fight or defend, it’s who they vote for, it’s who they have faith in, and it’s who they submit to whenever they release some scary news story to make people act out of emotion.

There are a hell of a lot more pedos/murderers. You walk past at least one every day and have no idea. Once again, unfortunately he isn't the only disgusting animal out there. If anything, the results of uncovering these horrific actions/crimes made parents reevaluate and tighten their supervision which I'm sure saved the lives of countless children. Sure that sucks that children had to change their habits and ways they could meet with friends...but the youth that was ruined weren't the ones who got curfews or stricter rules. The youth that were ruined are the 5 baby girls whom endured being kidnapped, raped, starved, tortured and murdered by this vicious, vile, lecherous abusive murderer.

Women who participate like this, in concert with their male partners, always seem to portray themselves as a victim. Michelle Martine allowed two small girls to starve to death, not to mention her complicity and active participation in Dutroux's other crimes. There are so many stories like this, but this case is one of the worst I have ever come across. (I read and watch a lot of true crime.) There is a woman named Emma Kenny, (a psychologist), who has a channel on KZbin, and she did a really interesting show about female sex offenders. She has a very hardcore attitude about women who participate in sexual offenses in tandem with their partners. She has NO mercy for them. (Teri Mclintick, Catherine Birnie, Monique Fourniet are 3 similar examples of this disgusting behavior.) Cheers! ✌️

Ok, everybody, I wanted to come back and edit my comment, I checked into it, and everybody is right. She was sentenced to 12 years, but when I looked it up on Google, they said she served 10. So for anybody who was telling me that she was sentenced to 12 years. And I was saying, 5, I apologize, I thought that's how many years that she did, and thank you for informing me.

Well the actors don't really do anything, usually some side closup of a discussion, fast or slow motion stabbing or strangulation. It isn't like they are abducting anyone, they just have a few girls sitting in a room made to look evil through coloring, lighting and effects, and some props. Everything is very brief and I doubt it took an extensive amount of time or redoing scenes. In short, you picture these people as going through the crimes, rather than just doing various scenes that help you visualize the story more. I'd say the girls are exposed to the worst conditions, fake blood and wounds at times can condition kids to what reality can potentially be.

whats the alternative then? Punishments have to be in relation with the act. To punish a rape or kidnapping with the same severity as murder, would make murderers "get away cheaply" in the eyes of the public. Or you should increase the punishment for murder in proportion to the raised punishment for rape and abduction. Which would be death sentence as life in prison in your eyes should be the punishment for the crime he comitted back then. Thats not how it works. You make a system, and exceptionally some will fall through the safety net. Doesnt mean "the system doesnt work". What's a lot more frustrating is how everyone forgot that there were a lot of suspicions of high level politicians and powerfull people were involved in this matter. Similar to weinstein probably, but we will never get the full truth. There is far more to this story then Dutroux and his wife though. For sure.

Especially since soundproofing is virtually non-existent in Belgium especially in these older houses. It's pretty unliveable since you can hear every last fricking thing your neighbours are doing (and they you), same level, upstairs or downstairs, doesn't matter. I can't imagine how he got away with this, it's not even a standalone house. Such a tragedy for all those girls. Pedophiles should be isolated from society for the rest of their lives, the chances of rehabilitation are very low and we shouldn't bet on the lives of the possible victims.

Apparently the Europeans do not have retributive justice like the US judicial system. I guess they just temporarily put people in jail & then release them. Like, how can their families possibly have peace knowing the monsters still breathe & could get free (or in the case of the wife, are already free)?

There was a "Network" of powerful politicians and well connected men that he was selling those little girls to! He was told to make the girls docile before bringing them to the Network so that is why he kept them in isolation for so long. The top politicians in Belgium were in on it! He would not be safe in an American Prison..he would be “persona non grata” if in an American prison... I have seen first hand.. I’m 58 but 30 years ago I spent 1 year and one day in the St Cloud State Reformatory for men...for a non violent crime...I just made a dumb decision while drinking and I landed up in trouble.... there was an old man serving life without parole there Nick Named Peg Leg... he had raped murdered and cut up a 6 yr old girl and stuffed her into a garbage can... the police rammed their car into him and pressed him against the wall with the cop car.. causing him to lose a leg... he had already been in practically every prison in the state because he was targeted by everyone non stop... and for fun, the Garuda placed him in a main floor cell so during flag hours,,, or flag time, Which is a time where everyone can leave the cell and watch tv and associate... lol PEG LEG was tortured day in and day, out every day, he was in his 70s when I was there... he was spit on a hundred times a minute, tripped, and leg removed every single day on the way to chow hall, they played monkey in the middle with his leg while heading to chow and tossed the leg to the guards before entering the chow hall, and kicked and punched. Daily.. and finally... someone beat him to death... they guards never rushed to help him and never punished anyone for assaulting him.. the man was terrified all the time.. he never got a break but he did last around 9 years before he was killed... I had to question my humanity over what I felt about him... I guess I pitied him.. I believe in God..I believed his spirit was at risk.. and I worried about mine as I thought about what I would like to see happen to him...
