what happend guys? i was "living" your glowing plant experiment for so many years. what happend to the roses planted outside? please keep an update

The project has been dead for quite a few years now, there won't be any glowing plant from this team. Meanwhile, another company called light bio seems to have succeeded with a glowing petunia. The luminous output of the plant seems to be quite low but it might be worth a shot.

We were never able to make Glowing Plant in a way which complied with the regulations, so we've switched our focus to moss. Currently it's fragrant, but we're working on making it glow eventually too.

They had a lot of unfortunate setbacks and had trouble getting the 4th gene they wanted in the right place. They were making ones with some slight glowing (not requiring substrate) but they wanted all 4 genes functioning for the pants to glow bright enough to see with the naked eye. They're still working on arabiposis, and this side project's profit will go towards funding future work on it.

That's unfortunate to hear. I still hope the glowing plant project gets back on track soon, and maybe coincide with Australian export policy for GMOs updating a bit. Import permits are a thing for the arabdiposis but it's still a pain.
