being a engineer for 14 years for CSX on the CV sub I can say this is the most realistic looking and sounding model I have ever seen keep up the good work
@wolfgang5488 жыл бұрын
+travis hensley Model manufacturers are getting so good at what they're producing today that if they make them any more realistic companies will rely on models like these instead of the real ones. LOL.
@dollin95156 жыл бұрын
the sounds are imported from real life they aren't the models themselves and you can tell because of the wind sounds not being possible in a building

I've seen several models of the Tehachapi Loop, and thanks to the close-up shooting and the sounds this one is by far the best. Watching this is better than looking a the model itself.

Amazing! Superb artwork on the backdrop. I wish I had the talent to do the backdrop at our club layout like that. The real sounds are fantastic.

beautiful layout! Nicely done. I live in Bakersfield and have driven to most of the legal roads to watch the trains. My buddy has a house/ranch in Caliente right across from the tracks, great viewing spot, plus its cool to walk over and talk with the crews while there waiting for trains coming down from the loop.

Sound effects are so great! specially, those related to the movement over the track.

The prototypical searchlight signal detailing and functionality truly adds to the realism of the appearance and sound of this layout. I honestly don't think there are many model layout videos that can match this one. At 5:48, the RED over GREEN indication matches with the way the points are set for a diverging movement......absolutely MARVELOUS!!!!

+Dallin Davis I've notice that's what some modelers do. They operate them in an unrealistic manner.

Dallin Davis, if I recall, the highest speed limit on the La Mesa line is 40, and dips down to 15.

Really doesn't matter. Just making a comment about the scene in the video. It really made for a great watch/view. I think people make to big of a deal out of counting a rivet. Everyone is capable of making a mistake, and I never had anyone to give me one red cent, because I could look at a loco and tell them what it was. But thanks for the comments. God bless you both.

So cool! I can't believe that amounts of money some of you guys spend on this hobby!! When I first saw the BNSF line in central New Mexico, I thought I had to have a model train set up like that. HA! I can't afford even a few cars like those! Lets' see... 3 HO locomotives, almost $1, 000! Each car of rolling stock, about $30 - $50! It might be cheaper to buy Berkshire Hathaway stock instead.

Not unusual for foreign power to show up on a railroad. Either the NS unit was borrowed from them (UP needed extra power) or the unit is being used to pay back for a UP unit used on NS turf. Hours of usage have to be equalized.

I saw that too! I was wondering how painful a decision it was to do that while also admiring the realism. Some of the weathered locos also looked freakin awesome.
