Hi Ami! Love your content, I’ve been on a similar journey. Lost weight with WFPB, then got into weightlifting and CrossFit for a year now. So, realized I needed to let go of my absolute weight and include more protein rich whole food at each meal to recover after work outs. I weigh more now, I’m stronger now and I still fit in my clothes just fine. Excited to see how this evolves for you.

Hi Ami, I too appreciate seeing what I eat in a days almost every day and I've been watching for well over a year now! A funny thing has happened to me this week and I've had in unconscious what-would-ami-do moments that have helped me out a lot! I went to work last Friday for the first time since being out on maternity leave with our third and I brought a bunch of fruit to snack on and it was so good! Last week I didn't have ingredients on hand to make regular vegan cheese sauce, but I realized I did have what I needed to make your Alfredo style sauce and it worked out so well, even my carnivore husband gobbled it up! I ran out of soy milk for my coffee and my store was out of stock, but instead of being sad I said to myself, I have beans, bananas, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, salt and water so I made a version of your coffee creamer ! Yesterday I was like hemming and hawing on what to get for dinner, and I ended up throwing a can of lentils and a packet of pre steamed rice into my food processor with seasonings and lemon juice, and baked falafel inspired balls and they were sooo good 🤤 then I was whining to myself that I needed a sauce but didn't have any silken tofu to make a mayo style or creamy sauce, but instead of being sad with no sauce I decided to blend white beans with spices, lemon juice, and water and ended with an amazing dressing! I think all your viewers will agree you have some of the most incredible creativity with food in all of the KZbin-verse and beyond. You generously share yourself every day and by watching I didn't realize I was absorbing elements of your approach to food and cooking but I have! And it's been so helpful! I don't have 1/10th the creativity you do but remembering things I've seen you do has helped me make much more enjoyable food and not give in to temptation to eat prepackaged stuff or junk, or be sad and hungry 😂 Next I want to experiment with lemon mint bars, I don't think I've ever tried that combination of flavors in a dessert but I'm curious to see how it is, and if the technique works I might also try like a cinnamon orange bar that's Christmasy 😊 yay food!!!

When my kids were younger and didn't like a type of food that was going into a soup, stew, or casserole, I would blend it up before putting it into whatever I was making. So, it went in as a liquid ingredient. I still do this with tomatoes because they don't like the texture when cooked. They things we do as a mom to get our kids to eat.

Realistic is great. I think many of us live in this way: plans go out the window so often, it’s make do with what’s readily available. Thanks for your input- awesome!

What an awesome fun video! Romi is just the sweetest thing! Her little side eye when you showed us what was left of your breakfast 😂😂 she had a look on her face like “you mean you ate without me? When I wasn’t here!?!?” 😂😂 I swear she will have her own channel by age 5. She’s so adorable and funny and VERY witty!! I was happy to see handsome Abe eating the noodles with the lentils! He seemed like he really liked it!! My oldest was SO PICKY!!! Lord have mercy, he would only eat the same 5 items for about 5 years…. No matter what I tried!! Oddly…. We weren’t vegetarian/vegan then… but he LOVED a vegetarian product here in America called “Garden Burger”… he just loved them!! I felt good about feeding him them as they were very healthy!! And back in the day (30 years ago, he’s 33 now) they were really, really expensive! I used to say he had caviar taste on a sardine’s budget 😂😂. Btw, he eats all foods now, all veggies… etc…. So he indeed did grow out of his pickiness!! So hang tight Ami 💕❤️🙏🏼 Thanks again for the video!

Wanted to let you know most commercial liquid plant-based eggs are mung bean based. Like you, most people seem to learn towards omelette-type creations rather than scrambles as the clumping is an issue. Great video as always! You are positively impacting lives with every bit of content you create. Happy eating! With gratitude and grace! XO

Hi Ami! I’m not fully plant based- I’d say I eat about half vegetarian half plant based. But thanks to you I’ve kept my fridge freezer chocked to the brim with veggies, beans, etc like never before, and I love eating this way! Sending you warm wishes, love watching your videos! 🧡

Omg I made that lava cake concoction of yours the other day and I freaking loved it! I almost had to keep it hidden from my hubby because he knows I’m trying to lose weight and that chocolaty bowl of sin felt like a cheat meal! I could only eat 1/2 so had the other half this morning when my mother stopped by… she was not falling for my healthy breakfast bowl at all! Omg that was good!!

Hi Ami!! Question? What do you think about a carrot and chickpea or lentil wrap? Also.... How do you trust the process and not worry about the scale going up?
@brendaross9333 Жыл бұрын
Yup, Ive been at it for some time. I do track my protein to make sure I hit my 1g per pound of bodyweight and I hit the gym 3x a week on a progressive overload program.

I love your videos, know how busy you are and really appreciate them almost daily. Is there any way we could get the chickpea blondie recipe and lava cake recipe? Or maybe just the ingredients? It’s okay if you’re saving them for a cookbook? They make my mouth water! 😋

Hi Ami! I hope you don't mind my unsolicited advice....but there's a very important tweak you could make in order to see muscle growth. If you're delaying eating for hours and hours after weight training, your muscles are not getting the amino acids they need in order to repair and grow. Ideally, you should be consuming a meal with 30g protein within an hour post training. If you're not hungry enough for a meal, then a small smoothie or shake with a scoop of vegan protein powder can stand in (I know it's not a whole food, but it's easy and healthy). You're so creative, I'm sure you could imagine up something to fuel those muscles after your workout!
