I like how real and honest you are. These are the type of videos i love watching. You have a beautiful house. I live in an apartment. I just moved less than a month ago but before that, all of us 4 lived in a tiny 1 bedroom apt looked more like a studio. I made a video but have to upload it and also of my new apartment which is a bit bigger.

Hi Heather, you do have a very lovely home, I too have a very lived in home, I am so tired of looking at other’s expensive houses and they have a few things out of place and say it’s so messy. Keep up the good work and just continue to love each other! Love you and am praying for you and your family every day. :)

Aww Heather, i love all the little personalized touches. I grew up in a modest immigrant home, our first home here was an unfinished basement suite, my mom painted an old hand me down bed for us(we shared), and made a coverlet with fabric given to her by her boss(she cleaned homes), our couch was from the Sally Anne, and we had to wash our dishes in an old concrete laundry tub! We had good memories, and love too, that;s all that matters

I was almost born in West Virginia. My home is kind of like yours. It's old, but there is alot of love in it. My grandma had this house built. David and I were married in the living room. Let me tell you something...big house do not make you happy. Love makes you happy. Right now you are living the dream most people have and cannot obtain it. You have love, laughter, children, and a home where love lives. Never apologize for where your stuff comes from. You can have the most expensive stuff in the world and never be happy. Look at hollywood. I have never cared what anybody thought about me or my home. God knows and he is all that matters. I wish you lived next door to me. We would have coffee, we could love your children as our own, we would cook,can, and have someone to depend on. God Bless and you are doing awesome.

Home is where the heart is❤️ And you are not the only one that has a lived in home. I completely relate with you. Thank you for being real and raw! I don't comment very often because well I'm not really sure why but I have been watching your videos for what feels like a long time. It makes me feel better that real moms are out there. I only have one daughter who is 4 but she is a tornado and I have chronic back pain so keeping my house in order is extremely difficult. But again thank you for being real and authentic ❤️

You have a beautiful home! You can definitely see the love in your space! I think it's all how you view your home. Right now I live with my Hubby and 7 children (16 to 7 years old) in Ohio and in half of a house. My kitchen is on the 1st floor, it has limited cabinets and no dishwasher but I have 2 big windows and a pantry down there- we bought a cart and hutch for extra counter top and space. Our living space of a big living room, 3 bedrooms, and one bath with laundry in it is all upstairs. We make it work and I get lots of exercise going up and down when we make dinner for company. We need to be careful to not make too much noise for our downstairs neighbor. There are 9 people over her head-yikes! and she still likes us surprisingly lol. I grew up in a 2 bedroom apartment in Queens NY, so it works. So from my view you guys have a lot of space and I love your home :)
@millerville20005 жыл бұрын
About the bed for your little guy, I've been on a Minimalist journey for the past 7 months and my thought was if you guys could get a small bed setup that you could slide under your bed when not in use and take out for naptime and bedtime. It's not a traditional crib setup but you can still keep your desks and your nice room setup.

Your house is lovely. And very real life. My husband and I also sleep in the smallest room. We have 4 boys and 3 girls so the boys have the master bedroom because there are more of them. I am working on making our house a home too. I can’t do any big projects right now (the project list is large lol) but for now I can declutter and keep it clean. Your channel is so encouraging. You keep it real and have a good attitude. I have so many things I want to do to our house but the funds just aren’t there right now. I am practicing thankfulness and strengthening my “creative” muscles. 🙈 I hope the basement project is going well.

You could try two queen size sheets per couch to cover the upholstery so it isn't getting damaged. The couches are in good shape! It's just cosmetic flaws on the outside. We used that method with a couch we inherited from family members when we were first married. Two sheets and it looked great!

Hi!! It’s ok to have a lived in home. So many people today wish they lived in a liver in home. Their lives are so hectic that they don’t even have time to enjoy that perfectly decorated home they have to work so hard for. My husband makes a good living for us and I worked before I got hurt on the the job as a nurse. I use to be one of those people till we went to one income. I quickly learned how to have what I wanted for less than what you probably spend. I shop at the goodwill for things. No one is the wiser unless I tell them. Since we seem to live in a throw away society there are so many good things at the goodwill. From curtains to antiques. All cheap!! My friends have no idea and my fancy mother in-law is even amazed at my purchases. I can get designer purses new or like new. Clothes the same way. I take my time picking through things and even look up the brand names online to see if it’s a good buy. The only things I won’t purchase there are shoes and towels. I go to the goodwills in fancier neighborhoods so there is ALWAYS great stuff. I could never afford to buy the things I have in my home but no one will ever be the wiser unless I tell them. I am just frugal and I was even a super couponer till we got a Aldi grocery store in our area. I save more there than couponing at Kroger’s or Walmart. I save everywhere I can. Nothing is wrong with living like that a lot of people do. My son broke a few things when he was a toddler. But if you don’t teach them it’s wrong and not ok they keep doing it. You’ve worked so hard to make your house a home!!Just because you live in a home full of mostly men doesn’t mean you can’t get them to respect your hard work. I’m the only female in my home besides the dog. My men don’t want to take their shoes off at the door. I even bought baskets (at goodwill) for their shoes. My pet peeve has become the floors. My house was brand new 11 years ago. Our hardwoods need to be refinished and carpet torn up. They now understand where I was coming from all these years. So eventually it will lessen my husband’s wallet and my men will have sore backs from the work. But I bet from now on I will not have to worry about my floors being dirty again.

Thank you so much Michelle! I love our little home and I love trying to improve it on a budget. For me that's fun and motivating! I love seeing just how far I can stretch a dollar and what I can do to make things better with that dollar. We don't have a goodwill or an Aldi but about 90 minutes from us there is. I need to make the drive up there and see if it would be worth driving regularly to save some money. We are, of course, doing our best to teach Leo not to destroy things. He is only 3 years old but he's come a long way in just a year or so. We just keep trying day in and day out, making a little progress each day! 😊
