Handy tip in case you didnt know, cuz I saw you hitting the head button on the TGP, If you press and hold in the thumbstick while holding the joystick, you can set radar, and TGP to head track mode without needing to reach for it. Really nice for quick target acquisition

Love the video! Little tip to save gas is to make sure that you turn off your APU after you get both engines on. Think of the APU as a little mini jet engine running in the back that just sucks fuel.

Honestly, I personally like the "white" phosphor NVG much more. the HUD doesn't "fade" into it as much (or at all tbh). Tho i REALLY would love an amber NVG... might not necessarily be realistic(or maybe it is... idfk xD), but man it'd be sweet imo. And agreed on the approachability. I feel like the initial difficulty step of VTOLs difficulty curve is gentler, but at least imo it still kind of close to DCS' skill ceiling.

23:25 APU isn't autopilot, bud. It's the Auxiliary Power Unit. It's a mini turbine that is used to start the engines. That's it. After your engines are fired up its best to turn the APU off. Being a turbine, it guzzles fuel. Which is probably why you ate through so much gas so quickly. Enjoy the mission editor and make sure to set a bed time or else birds start chirping and your sleep schedule is ruined.

The white phos is a lil bright compared to any tube I have used in real life but a lot of games get it wrong vs green phos tubes. There are further tube options incl IPD and brightness in the game options MFD just a head's up for those wanting to use the new white phosphor noggles

pickle is for dumb bombs, paveway is for laser, but so many people say pickle when dropping anything bc the weapon release button is called the pickle button.

Tweak your lighting in the cockpit. Turn instrument lighting and HMD lighting wayyy down.
