This is a beautiful layout. Awesome detail for the loco's and rolling stock and that scenery looks fantastic. I love the road crossing scene with the overhead flashers. I feel like I'm there with my face resting on the layout getting the good trackside view. Excellent and well done. 😊👍

Hearing the radio chatter makes me feel like I'm at work lol. For getting track authority we normally will go to "Channel 2" or the second mainline channel. This is used to have long conversations with the dispatcher, PTC, MOC, etc. That way we don't tie up the mainline channel. Every location has a different "channel 2" channel. This probably seems obvious but I've met a lot of people who don't know this.

Could you do one with a couple Y6b’s and a Class A helping a loaded train up the hill or are the steamers that finicky to work the live load trains? I know Y6b’s from BLI are very strong.
@tomclark465410 ай бұрын
Yes they are strong, but not as compliant as the diesels when trying to get them to work in pairs or triplets. We have an A, Y, and J in N&W colors and I believe they are all BLI. Out of the box they are great but after a few months of running they all tend to become difficult to operate. The diesels work great all the time. (Not to mention they live in the modern era we model.) Sincerely, Tom Clark (Dad)
@James-Railyard10 ай бұрын
@@tomclark4654 all of my BLI engines receive the gut n replace method to make them run better, a decoder buddy and aftermarket sound decoder make them better. No issues outside not maintaining the lubricants in the gearbox. The pcm Y6b’s are also DCC ready or ESU V3.5 equipped and the pcm line is a Swiss watch when it comes to running and hauling. I understand eras but I’d love to see video proof of even the Y6b’s hauling power. Someone supposedly tested a P2 Y class and had it pull a 34ft long train with heavy cars. I’m sure that’s what BLI had in the product page before the remodel of the site.

Hey Josh! Always have loved your videos, especially the real train sounds dubbed into the video, and I was wondering where you get your sounds for the dubs from, whether it’s your own railfanning or from somewhere else? And if it’s your own stuff, I was wondering if I could borrow some of your audio for a video or two of my own? Regardless of the response, keep up the excellent content and modeling! Hope you’re doing well!
