Love your railfaning videos! You’ve mastered the art of portraying models in an amazingly realistic manner.

A buddy of mine who I railroaded with for a number of years was an engineer on the Blue Ridge Southern for a while. The closing of the paper mill must be a hard hit for them.

It's always a pleasure to visit the latest on the layout... There is simply no doubt in one's mind regarding the setting, for the scenery and all the little details add up perfectly. I have never railfanned the Murphy branch but recall well reading various articles about it over the years. I suppose the only Watco units I've seen have been over here on the Sidney line in western North Dakota/eastern Montana and they are on the tired side compared to his good looking units here. Thanks for sharing, as always!

It's actually not as hard as people think. Bachmann, as well as a few others, make a drop-in module for them that fits under the truck. The issue is that most of them are comically oversized
@andrewgray9869 ай бұрын
@@towcatBachmann is WAY too over sized. the Ring Engineering ones are to scale size

Awesome! I moved to Toledo, OR last year and Watco runs the local switching operations for the Georgia-Pacific Pulp Mill in town. I've been wanting to paint up a Loco for a shelf layout or something

Didn’t you design a model of the Asheville mulch hoppers that watco owns now? They recently were in the yard after being in storage in Hendersonville for some time. The NS logos are blacked out .

Hey Josh, my name is also Josh, but anyways. Does Blue Ridge southern run the Asheville sub now IRL, or is that just for fun ops?

I would love to see your layout, I bet (know) I could get lost in yesteryear for hours just sitting eyelevel listening and watching trains come round a corner/ disappear into a tunnel/ meet side by side or even a double header. Thanks for the videos so I can at least get the idea. I have old HO stuff from my childhood (70's-80's) but just lack the time and space right now. And the wife knows the only way that stuff leaves the house is after my funeral LOL. Thanks again for the entertainment P.S. did you ever get your coal loader working?
