Great video as always! I homeschooled 2 boys and was always doing home projects so I know how hard it is to balance but you two are doing great! Once they were done with naps, I instituted quiet time. They could read, listen to audio book, play with legos, etc but they had to be quiet and feet couldn’t touch the floor for 1 hr. It saved my sanity and taught them autonomy. 😊

I stumbled upon your channel about a month ago. My 4 kids are all adults now. I have grandkids. I love your videos. They are very relaxing to me for some odd reason lol. The girls are so beautiful. I love your patience with them. I was a very young mom and was lacking in that area. Have a great weekend.

I miss the lightning bugs they are the highlight of the summer. Just watching them on the porch flying around in the yard. We never put them in jars but we use to put their lights on our ears for earrings when we were kids. Will have to try your summer treat. As always enjoyed your vlog. I grew up in the south and we called them lighting bugs! We used to catch them in our hands and they would like up and then we let them go! There used to be a lot in our background. ☺️ oh the memories! Another amazing vlog ❤ excited for the basement reveal and the kitchen reno vlogs andddd that ice cream treat looked so good 🍨

Curious if you have a floor fan in the girls room or a sound machine? The coolness of the fan and the sound helped my son sleep so much better. The sound machine helps me sleep so much better lol. Good luck with getting your girls to sleep.

Hello. Yes Ohio Thunderstorms can be scary or relaxing depending on the person. I love a cloudy rainy cozy day here and there. Can’t wait for the kitchen remodel. I’m praying for a better situation with this project because it’s a big one. ❤

For the bad storms, we also got a couple of battery-operated lanterns, one for each level of the house. We would poke holes in the metal lids of the spaghetti sauce jars, but if you use cloth, just poke small holes in it so the lightning bugs can breathe. Be sure to let them go after about half and hour.

Hi. You may want to invest in an emergency radio for power outages for bad storms. Ours has a crank and solar power. It also has a port to recharge your phone as well as a flashlight and am/fm radio. We got ours from Amazon. When I was a kid we would get old spaghetti sauce jars and put holes in the top with a pop bottle opener. Some metal can openers might still have them on them. The holes were so the lightning bugs could breathe ok. We usually caught them around sunset while they were glowing and had them in the jar for only about half an hour and let them go.
