It all depends on the water! Big lakes and ponds are great for power bait, because the water is cold at the bottom, and in stand still water the fish are lazy. Creeks and river are spinner targets. Spinners fishing is more skill based, because you need to avoid rocks, and sticks, knowing where to cast is also key. I personally will pick spinner any day, I rather see that fish come out of nowhere, and smash the spinner. And if you haven’t ever caught a trout or any fish on a spinner, you are definitely missing out on the best action side of fishing.

You are not fishing the same waters as alex, and you are not a fish, so your words are just words. awesome vid alex. Glad to see you prove some folks wrong. fish are opportunistic feeders. while the spinner may have a better hook up ratio, it doesnt exactly get more bites. think about it, i you were a fish, would you rather chase something down or eat a juicy free meal thats is just slowly floating on the bottom. Thats why the trout eat bugs trapped in the water, because its an easy, free meal that they dont have to work hard to get. bottom line, alex has already covered this topic. what works in your area, doesnt mean it works everywhere. like i always say, if it catches you a fish, then you did it right.
