I think it's an important aspect to point out in order for society to learn from this horrific incident. Chandler was coddled and did not have consequences for his actions throughout his upbringing. This is why I sort of hate watch these videos, because everybody thinks they are some expert analyst that can 1:1 behavior to guilt/innocence, when in reality behavior is so nuanced and so subjective from person to person that very few things are actual red flags. The only true indicators are deviations from the baseline of the suspect, in my non-expert opinion. Even then, you might not know how someone would react to their parents being murdered vs. them murdering their parents, those reactions could be extremely similar or almost interchangeable. You can't be uptight, but you also can't be immature and relaxed. You can't avoid eye contact, but you can't have too much. You can't not cry, but don't cry too much. You can't be super uneasy or physically unwell, but you also can't be unaffected by the events that have happened. You can't create distance and lean back, but you also can't lean in and be too engaged. There are signs to be pointed out, and I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the context where behaviors are placed in, but a lot of these are also just differences in behaviors that don't really speak to anything at all, just reactions to stress or a puzzling situation. For example, a girl takes a cookie after laying out her allergy preemptively, asks if it's chocolate, is told it isn't even though it is, trusts the guy, and suddenly she's attention-seeking for a miscommunication. What?

@@KaileyB616 Yeah people think that, even after watching these videos, that if they request a lawyer the cops will think that they're guilty and charge them or treat them worse or something, but if you've watched enough of these you will see that the second they say 'no i want a lawyer' 99% of the time the cops will IMMEDIATELY just stand up and leave the room. The only time they don't is if they think the suspect is stupid or slow and they try the 'well are you sure cuz this is your last chance to talk to us' because saying that ONLY WORKS ON STUPID PEOPLE. Why would you need a last chance to talk to them, whether you had actually done it or not? To confess? 😂😂😂 Just stay silent, and/or keep requesting a lawyer. They can sit there and say whatever they want after that point in hopes that you get angry, or seemingly their favorite is to say something CLOSE to what they think you did, but make it sound worse, to get you to respond to correct them. IE if the crime is a straight murder of a woman who has bullet holes in her, the cops will be like "So you were alone in the room with her, did you stab her? shoot her? sexually assault her?" Even if they know she wasn't sexually assaulted, just shot, and then these dumbasses who didn't ask for a lawyer will get angry and be like "MAN I DIDNT SEXUALLY ASSAULT HER I DIDNT EVEN TOUCH HER" not realizing they just basically admitted they did shoot her though, for example. JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AFTER ASKING FOR A LAWYER. There is literally no reason to ever talk to the police if they've sat you down for an official interrogation. No detective or investigator on the police force wants to waste their time just to sit you down "just to have a chat" or "to just clear up a few things" when said information is already confirmed and pointless. Ask if you're free to go, and if they say yes, leave. If they say no, or 'you're not under arrest at the moment' but don't say an explicit 'yes' and try to use super passive statements like 'well before we let you go, i need to clarify a couple things' or 'i'm not done with you yet' without arresting you and reading you your rights, then you are currently 'detained' and they want to get as much self incrimination out of you as possible before having to read you your rights, and therefore you need to (you guessed it) ask for a lawyer and shut the fuck up. TL;DR lawyer up and shut up.

My son has high functioning autism and I have talked to him so many times about never talking to police in an interrogation room and always ask for a lawyer. Why do you folk think this is ok behavior. It isn't a "breath of fresh air". I'm not saying everyone has to grow up the same or anything I'm a 40+year old child lol but there is a time and place and sitting in a police station being questioned about missing people isn't the time or place. The fact she is this age and doesn't understand that is disturbing and worrying. I am all for people being themselves and not what society says they should be, but this woman isn't a child, her boyfriends parents are missing, this is serious shit and should be taken that way. Humans are horrible creatures that never should have evolved. All we do is the same horrible things to each other over and over. When I was a kid, a school shooting, we couldn't even conceive it, and what by February or March of this year there had already been hundreds. I really like how you began this by describing Chandler; the hard working, overachieving 23yo live in college student with a bright future. Pursuing an IT degree, member of a police scuba diving team, employed at an insurance company with a job awaiting him at SpaceX! Add to that, he enjoys cooking. This is the young man whose parents were proud of him and whose fiancée, Cat, was in a trusting and loving relationship where they were looking forward to their future together. Imagine how devastated she must have felt when she realised that their entire relationship was built on a foundation of lies and worse, that he killed his own parents when his manipulative BS started tumbling down around him. When I watch her in the interview, I see a normal and kind young woman who could never dream that her partner is capable of what was about to come to light. Just like Chandler’s parents had no idea. And his brother. All these innocent parties totally blindsided by a pathological liar, though Cat seemed to struggle to really accept what Chandler was capable of for a while. If Chandler put one tenth of his effort into his degree as he did in pretending he was studying, he would have graduated. But he wanted life to be handed to him rather than being keen to get out there and grab his life by the horns. A nasty entitled man child, lazy and self centred. And a vile murderer who killed the parents who loved him rather than facing responsibility for his lies.

@AlexAndra-iy5zu No SHE DIDN'T take the chocolate chip. Or if she did it was because the officer LIED and told her that WASN'T the chocolate one. Go watch again. She picks out a cookie. The officer says that one is chocolate chip. Both her (and you & the maker of this video) assume he's talking about the one she just picked up. So she hesitates & asks "this one?". The officer corrects her & says no the other one. To which she responds with "I was going to say..." and raises her eyebrows. Meaning she was wondering why it would have chocolate too when she purposely picked the sprinkle one. The reason I feel she's eating super slow is because she clearly has serious digestive issues, beyond her chocolate allergy, which she's commented on multiple times. And as someone with similar issues, sugar doesn't sit well on the stomach at all. Especially by itself. That combined with the fact she's probably a bit nervous to be interviewed by police (and she's already said she pukes when really nervous), she's probably being extra careful. But she also probably didn't want to seem rude by saying no to the cookie. Or maybe it's as simple as her not liking the cookie. Maybe it's gross lol. Either way the maker of this video should REALLY correct himself as that comment about her being attention seeking based his misinterpretation is really messed up.

I'm afraid of being seen as parasitic while trying to heal trauma through intensive therapy over the last year. The biggest obstacle to my progress and moving out is my dad's obsession with total control over my mom and I . I backed into a mailbox and scratched one of their cars on the way to therapy and my dad took away my car privileges. That was 4 months ago. I cannot leave the house of my own volition even to doctor appointments or errands or anything. Yet they expect me to "grow up and become independent" while his hands are hypothetically around my neck. Luckily I've never been diagnosed with psychosis , just PTSD, anxiety and depression from a robbery I survived. The emotional abuse from my parents are holding me "prisoner" and therapy is keeping me afloat. Unlike Chandler I'm not capable of killing. If anything I'd do myself when I've had enough. It's odd how similar our circumstances are, middle class family, older sibling moved out, struggling to finish college (I did it just took 2 extra years), parental pressure. Except I have empathy and am over emotional.

Not really crazy, as soon as they said his father set up that meeting. I realized (acc felt, can comprehend) how much that would mean his life was over to him. It’s not easy to sustain lies of that magnitude for over a year, even commit to the bit by physically harming himself to the point of nerve damage & have it all come crashing down. How much Cat believed him & could never see him doing those things is such a great indication of how much lying it took. His whole life (the fake life) he built was over, unraveling the school lie, was the first step in unraveling the rest of his web of lies. He would lose everything- his gf, financial support from his already v harsh parents, face in society (all the ppl he lied to & had rships with - romantic & otherwise even his absentee brother). I can see how to him that was the v logical next step. He must have felt there was no other choice. Edit: also the sheer amount of panic on finding out he was about to be found out plus there’s nothing narcissists hate than to lose face so

I wasn't guilty of a thing, but an ex-friend, (not a boyfriend) of mine tried to rob a store and got back in the car with me like nothing happened. I calmly drive home knowing nothing then the cops came to my house because the store employee was running around looking for the robber. He looked right to my car and asked if I saw someone run from his store. I said no I didn't see anyone. I had no idea the guy with me had tried to rob him. But the employee took my tag number and gave it to the cops. I hadn't figured it out yet myself and the cops were accusing me of being a "getaway driver". I thought they were there to talk to me as a possible witness in the area until they openly accused me. Thank God, my so called friend just told the truth and didn't get me thrown in jail with him because I knew I was innocent and I did not lawyer up.
