Like TJ Moe, I was surprised to not find any promotion of Pride Month at Target. I had avoided Target for the last couple of years. My daughter asked to go to the store recently and I fully expected to be hit with the Pride display the second I walked in the store. There wasn’t anything.

The female HR manager rescinded the offer the moment I showed up my first day for orientation. They tried to give the job after my hire to a female minority because women complained. After a week of me staying in a cheap motel, I eventually got the job because her college grades were poor. They reoffered the job at a 25% pay cut which was 25% below the stated minimum for that position. The women in that department treated me like garbage until I left once I got experience. It was the most disgusted I've ever been with another human... utter trash human beings. But yeah, this has been going on a long time and decent qualified people get abused.

I worked for the University of Michigan, I was told that in order to be eligible for a raise during evaluation I had to join the DEI team. I'm a Christian Conservative Heterosexual Man that is black. The person or supervisor who informed me of this was a black woman. Also in front of the Ann Arbor court house is the United States flag state of Michigan flag and the gay pride flag

You guys may be missing the overall "umbrella" of what you call wokeness, which is mainly Queer Theory and Critical Race Theory. But Queer and Critical Race Theory are only 2 elements within the overall agenda of Contemporary Critical Social Theory, which has 4 main pieces: 1) Social Binary (the "Oppressed" vs. the "Oppressor" Groups) 2) Hegemonic Power (oppression and domination of the "Oppressors" is structural and systemic - they are baked into the current institutions in America and must be transformed or altogether destroyed) 3) Lived Experience (facts do not matter as much as the actual lived experiences of the "Oppressed" groups (LGBTQ, balck America, Palestinians are examples) 4) Social Justice (we must dismantle the syetms, structures, hegemonic norms that create the permanent social binary). Jason and TJ, this is rooted in our EDUCATION SYSTEM, that has started in our universities and is now in our elementary schools. We will see this Contemporary Critical Social Theory grow until we dismantle our education system.... its our YOUNG GENERATION that can effect this change.
