Wow, Ms. Maggie! Your voice was amazing back in the earliest days, but now the maturity in your voice is, in Tim's words, breath taking. I hope you realize that even among very professional full-time vocalists, a small percentage have the control, tone, and depth that you possess. I am 73 years old, and will never see it; but I would love to be alive when you post the reaction videos when your grandchildren hear your recordings and realize that THEIR grandma was cool amd talented as hell! Rock on, young lady.

WOW! I knew this could happen. I now have a new favourite F&F cover song. Helplessly Hoping has been relegated to my second favourite of F&F. Maggie's beautiful, melodious voice coupled with the unmatched harmonies of Sammy and Chase ... add the polished musical talents of the Fossils and, here folks, we have a winner!😍🥰❤❤💘

I could listen to Maggie sing all day long. The vocals with the three together cover highs, middles, lows...the whole spectrum. Maggies voice is just so pure and melodic......

My third comment, so I'll shut up now. Maggie's voice will eventually (sooner than later?) make us forget about Karen Carpenter. She sings so beautifully and has such a range! In the same song it is strong, and soft, and pure. Maybe she didn't write this song, but her singing draws me in on a deep emotional level. Her singing is ear magic and heart magic. Sara Evans should send her flowers and gratitude! I thank F&F - all of you!

I have been listening to Foxes and Fossils videos for a long time, and I still cannot believe they are not bigger than they are. They always sound great (both vocals and instumentals), and often times they sound even better than the original of the song they are convering. If you had someone listen to audio on this one without the video and told them it was Sara Evans, they would be hard pressed to know that it was not. Big fan!!!
@spiritgover42233 ай бұрын
I can't believe I'm saying this again, but this song is the best that F&F has ever done. Just perfect. Maggie's wheelhouse is that slower Laurel Canyon/Ronstadt vibe. And those harmonies couldn't get any better. The song unfolds beautifully. And it sounds like a steel guitar is in there but alas it's just the wizardry of the big guy :)

at 3:37 mark, its like Emily Lou Harris is singing harmony with Maggie except it is Sammy. Sammy you just keep crushing it. I don't think I have ever heard Maggie sing better.

One of my favourite Sara Evans's tracks and yet again, beautifully presented. Outstanding lead vocals, spine-tingling harmonies and brilliant musicianship from the fossils. Delighted to note that Richard Meeder has slipped seamlessly into the lineup playing bass. An enormous gap to fill the place left by Scott but he has done a great job so far.
@lynwessel24713 ай бұрын
Rick is every bit a professional. 17th year playing with A1A. Was in The Mustangs before Scott in the late 90s. AFAIK Ross is still on the roster as the other guest bassist.

I've never heard this song until F&F. Then went to hear Sara Evans' version. Really, I'm not overstating this, but in my expert opinion F&F's version is so much better. You can honestly feel the soul that the ladies put into their vocals. Just about the best the gang has done - just keeps getting better.

Sara Evans is the epitome of what's referred to as "a class act". I first saw Sara perform in 2001 at the George Strait Music Festival (Turner Field). She was amazing then (as were all the other artists) and still is. The music that she's created and shared have meant so much to me. Her song _A Little Bit Stronger_ helped me immeasurably during separation and after divorce. Thank you Sara for taking the time to listen to F&F's rendition of _I Learned That From You_ and leaving an encouraging comment.

I have read many of the comments specifically those regarding Maggie's beautiful, honey-soaked, melodious voice. I recall listening to Maggie singing about five years ago and how overwhelmed I was, listening to her singing lead on previous recordings and lauding over her heavenly gift. At this time with her voice having matured somewhat, I have to concur with Tim's comment at the end of this recording ... "BREATHTAKING" ...😍❤❤❤

Maggie's voice is so clean and clear. I love the simplicity; she makes it look effortless, yet you know there was some work done to control her breathing and stay on pitch, etc. She surely is amazing and God truly has given her a very special gift......her singing voice! Think I'd have to go so far as to say that she has become my fav female singer.....hands down!! Not taking anything away from Sammy and Chase either, as they both are excellent vocalists in their own right as well and both could easily have a solo career if they so choose. It's just that Maggie's voice is so clear and spot on; it's just amazing to hear!!
