Jack, I have been hungry at my home church for several years and have struggled with depression and grief with the loss of my marriage (not my choice,) praying God help me find a Bible preaching church. I don’t even recall I how I fell into your sermons, but I have devoured dozens over the last several months now and it’s changing me. I had been in such struggle and I am finding a new found peace, as I am being spiritually fed and am spending more time in dedicated prayer. Pastor Jack has raised my expectations for my local pastor. We’ve found a local Calvary Chapel that’s a wonderful church. Regardless, I have to remind myself that my Pastor is a man of God and it’s wrong to compare him to Pastor Jack. Still, Pastor Jack has fed me through some pretty dark years since 2019. I used to jokingly say, "I identify as a Rothchild; therefore, the bank should support my identification and give me access as an heir of their fortunes". Here in reality, I identify (because I am) a child of God! I don't need riches of this world for he supplies all my needs! I'd much rather have riches in heaven than the empty & passing riches of this ever evil earth! I'm so glad HE called me! He chose me!?!? I didn't chose him!! (John 15:16). I started out different. When I was 21 I wanted to know more about God, so the first book I read was revelation. Which, of course made me want to finish the rest of the Bible. I love my Bible and all the truth and all the love, that our Lord shows us. It’s the only book I read anymore. I will be 70 years old this August. I love being old things seem so much clearer. Let's actually look at these scriptures and see what they say ... 17. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.” 18. So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. 19. You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?” 20. On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? 21. Or does not the potter have a right over the clay to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? 22. What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? 23. And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, 24. even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles. 25. As He says also in Hosea, “I will call those who were not My people, ‘My people,’... (Romans 9:17-25) God is Sovereign. Period. God chose before the foundation of the WORLD (Ephesians 1:4). Only those that the Father draws will come to Jesus (John 6:44). Who are we to say to God He is being unfair? God always gets the glory, not man. I love Jack Hibbs, but he is wrong in calling God into question with His choices. If the Trinity hadn't picked a remnant from mankind, Jesus would never have a people. Read Ephesians chapter 2, starting in verse 1-10. If you actually accept what they say, then you will accept that without God giving us the faith as a gift along with grace, none would be saved. Jack wants to boast in that he chose God. That's ego and pride talking. God says we can't boast about anything when it comes to salvation. It's all of God and none of us.

I take trammadol for pain and I dont like taking it because I was a drug addict before a long time ago and God delivered me from that so when you take a drug to not feel pain and it doesnt get you high is it addiction that you want to take the edge off the pain? This is a question that i waver in because when i told someone the story of how I was delivered from drug addiction over night they said "well you still smoke cigarettes" so I said okay then I quit and then later on that evening I went to frinds house to play cards and I told them I had quit and Christina my friend Stevens wife said "you cant do it" and gave me a snide look so I said "YOUR RIGHT!" and I smoked her cigarettes and when we were done i said okay NOW I QUIT and I havent smoked since. SO Its not high thing its a pain thig but is there a difference?

A few times after surgery nurses have given me Percocet. I immediately throw up. Yet when I had an ankle replacement, I took the same drugs for weeks after the surgery. My only guess is that as long as I needed the pain meds because of the sharp pain, I didn’t get sick. Once I took the pain meds past needing them to quiet the pain, they made me sick.

I had to sit at my clients house about 30 minutes ago to put on his prosthetic leg so he could stand up with his walker and get in the relciner before I left because he falls and if no one is there he is on the floor. Sitting down and standing up the pain made me hold my breath and i was like blacking out almost. My arm at the shoulder and elbow always hurts even if I pick up a pitcher of water and I used to be able to pick up my 500lbs motorcycle about eight years ago. I hope taking them isnt taking the name of the Lord in vain because if someone I am around daily said youre addicted I would have to stop someone lik here that ill never even see or know personally well how would you know right? Im just saying it because it concerns me somethimes. When they get to where they dont do anything I will sopt taking them for a month and live in misery until I dry out enough for them to be effective again so y athe ONLY thing I miss about them is the feeling less pained.

That’s what my uncle who was Jewish said about Jesus that he was just a great prophet. I did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. One of my cousins. He had two daughters. Is a follower of Christ. The other is not.. And then I just found out that my sister who says she believes in God but does not believe the Bible. Believes that October 7 never happened.😢

The way is narrow and few will find it. There's always been a small remnant as in Noah's day and in Lot's time. The end times are also paralled with these- not a massive throng. I may be totally wrong, but personally don't think there will be millions in the rapture.Did I help God save me by believing, or did He help me believe by first saving (spiritually regenerating me?) Is a spiritually dead man who's programmed as satan's bondslave capable of choosing to be made alive? Surely only by the supernatural power of God's Holy Spirit initiating the transaction could this be possible. Is my faith God's work or my having the innate ability to produce it? Fallen human nature is wired to reject the truth; it can only choose according to the flesh. God has the final say-so in all things; He is incredibly merciful to have saved any of us at all!

Thats NOT right Jack. You may have meant it differently but what you said wasnt right and I will tell you how. If you choose Jesus and believe if he gives you the ability to choose then its not a choice and if you dont choose him then its your choice and too bad. that is what you said BUT what it REALLY is that by dying on the cross we were given a choice and before he did that we HAD NO CHOICE, Since he DID do it and it was HIS choice to do it he gave us the choice thereby anf the glory is HIS but YOU still choose to believe him. The problem arises when we dont quite comprehend the nature of God of who he is and where he is. the whole predestination thing is his provision for us based on what he sees from beginning to end so that he foreknew us not because we didnt choose in the moment because we did else we wouldnt have freedom to choose but that he saw it all from beginning to end and all point in between.
