Anu, I loved your thinking of focusing on quality of relationships rather than quantity. In today’s times people may tend to focus on having a big social circle and having “contacts” but the real connection and love is not there. Anu ji, your reply to the insensitive comment about 'your little life' made me cry. Ofcourse you must miss your family, and it is awesome that your family encourages you. You didnt even have to explain but so nice you did. I look upto you for being so sorted, for prioritizing well and being organized. Simplicity is a real blessing and a gift. A lot of misguided people think that being drunk on weekends or partying hard or having 500 friends on FB is the way to live... If it works for them,cool, however I am sure most of them dont have two kids and cook healthy meals. You gave up your job to choose the life of a homemaker, and even then you made a youtube career of that! Plus I think you have a right to privacy, I don't think you have even shown your husband's coverage, and you are not obliged to share your mall trips or parties. Lol I think I am reacting even more strongly than you did haha. Anyhow, I understand. I have had very days when I have stayed up all night in nigut shifts and next day gone shopping with friends followed by dinner with family, and then there's now when I am at home almost all day, just reading writing and cooking. You have absolutely nailed few important points in today's video. Yes, agreed that we live in a foreign land and yes we need more people around us. But to a certain limit only. That is what my thinking is and I am constantly being judged for leading this life and often misunderstood as an introvert. Days just run away from our hands and especially with a preschooler and a baby, I can only dream of having more than 24hrs a day, and why more?so that I can sleep for an extra hour or spend some time talking to my family back home or have a quiet walk around estate. So on.. I have a handful of Friends too and same way like you said, they or I don't mind "intruding" into each others kitchens. And simple Dal chawal will suffice our gathering.we don't have to lavishly get ready and show off with this group of friends. And yes, that is our comfort zone. At this stage, raising 2 human beings is the utmost priority and wouldn't be fair to compromise their future. Because, we might think it's just one day only, one party only but hey, this small counts will become a habit. At least that's how I am and sorry if some of the viewers won't agree. I know there are few people who manage every aspect beautifully. But there are some like me , like you and many viewers who commented here, who may not balance the extra social time. Congratulations and it's your exclusive content and real life that earned the award.

I totally agree with you. We should have friends we can count on few fingers. And I in reality have very similar life to you minus kids. We don’t go to anyone’s place and we don’t get many people over and Im totally happy about it. We meet now and then in functions and catch up. I get to use home time in useful things rather than waste on partying and chatting away. Time waste is life waste. I love just staying home when not at work and catching up on house work, cooking etc. That’s why I love your videos. It’s about home. You don’t go out just to make videos. Please do keep going. First of all congratulations on your silver button. Second, you just helped me clarify few doubts in my minds. My Bangladeshi community around me always pressurize me to mingle more (party every weekend, group trips during summer). However, I have a mindset like your's. We like to socialize to certain extent and prioritize a simple and grounded family life. Sometimes I used to feel bad about not mingling enough. But today after listening to you I feel good about my decision.

I don't have kids but apnay husband k saath meri aisi understanding hay k kabhi kisi 3rd person ki zaroorat hi mehsoos nahi hoi. Mere parents bhi abroad hotay hain bhai k pass. I too m mom who lives abroad and have stopped working to focus on my child and also do not have much of social life but I agree with and happy to do so. not everyone will get this as they do not know to limitations and opportunities we get living overseas. I too do not have family here so i focus on my son to give him Indian touch and care. I understand where you are coming from and hats off to you cause not every one has courage (to break the stereotypes and comfort zone) being home giving up your career and give everything you have to your family, only women can do this!
