Derek Gonzalez It's just a regular tech to prevent getting stage spiked. And yea yo buster has increased shield damage and the backslash sweet spot in buster can bust shield if the opponent holds shield for just a little bit apparently :P

Aerius Astrum That's an AASPC (Advancing Air Slash Platform Cancel). It's actually the farthest thing from fancy, I just really love my abbreviations ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). lol, anyways yea you put on the advancing air slash custom then go under any platform (BF works best) and if you air slash over top of it and move the control stick into the platform it will cancel Shulk's animation and you can then fast fall and recover to the ground much faster!

I noticed you were in shield at 0 against mario. Does that allow you to di down and hold shield to avoid the uptilts?

marshall brooks Yeaa against inexperienced Mario's Shield can work at the start but after a while they just find new ways to combo shield Shulk at low percents so I typically stick to buster now.

Hey, Jerm, how does Shulk do in the Sheik and Marth matchups? My other 2 mains struggle with those matchups and I was wondering how Shulk does.

StardusT Sheik, imo, is the best character in the game atm simply because her matchups are pretty strong over the majority of the cast. Her MU with Shulk is no different and I find it to be one of Shulk's more diffifult MU's simply because she can juggle Shulk easily and he has no answer for that. She can also choose to stall out a majority of the arts if she wants by needle camping soo yea : / It's a toughie, I still need more exp in that MU personally to truly know how bad it really is. As for Marth I'm not sure since it's such a rare MU. Just outspace him for the most part.

Hi, its been a while. What I meant is that I can't cancel the monado art switch to jump and move freely. I've seen many videos, but I still can't master it. I know how to cancel, I know how to switch, but I just can't donit swiftly as I see everyone coming back to the stage by cancelling and then activating jump real quick. Thank you.

Distant Kingdom I play smash on the gamepad, And i can never pull off the down air without fast falling, so I can't pull off the fair+dair combo. Any suggestions?

If you play with the GamePad, use the second analog stick for aerials and smash attacks. That's also why the 3ds version is inferior: You have to fastfall to do a dair

just have to say... back slash combos aren't very impressive.... like they do no knockback and have insignificant damage unless in buster.... its just a bad move... the custom move that dose alot more damage and knockback but a smaller sweet spot is probally the best one, at the tip of the hitbox it dose the same damage and knock back and normal backslash
