I would’ve been absolutely horrified to find even a quarter size lump. I’d have been to the doctor the moment I felt that. I can’t imagine living with something noticeably growing in size. The stress of that must have be unimaginable. I hope this woman recovers completely with minimal scarring and no complications. ❤️

I had 4 in my upper arm & was given a general anaesthetic, there’s no way I would have been awake plus they had to shave the fascia (layer covering the muscle) to get the last 2. She was a very brave woman.

What a sweet girl. Dr Lee has a great way with her patients. It's a special skill because she works on them while they are awake. She has to spare them the trauma of going through things that general surgery patients don't remember. I wouldn't want anyone else doing something like that for me.

I'm curious about one thing, though: Dr. Lee said she had to stop because of her patient's reaction every time she probed deeper; was numbing her up a little more not an option? Or giving her a mild sedative prior to starting? Anybody know? 🤔

I think most dermatologists don’t give sedation to patients normally, as far as I now they don’t even have these medications in their office. I think when she wanted something like that she should have gone to a hospital to a Chirurg. Or they could’ve done that under general anesthesia that’s possible too. But Dr. Lee could’ve definitely tried to give her more numbing medicine to remove everything, don’t know why she didn’t tried that. But different patients react differently to different medications, so there are some people for them is local anesthesia not working very well, no matter how much you give them. I take sedation before some dentist visits and no dentist would prescribe me that, that does a family medicine doctor or a different one for your specific illness. For me local anesthesia doesn’t work well and dentist have to give me all the time more numbing medicine to make a longer procedure. And my anesthesiologist said I could never have a Caesarean section under a peridual anesthesia, that wouldn’t work for me, I would need a general anesthesia for nearly every operation.

Anxiety at the dentist office, they put a couple of drops of lavender oil on little tab and clip it to the bib. Helps every time!

That’s what I was thinking ....even 2.5mg while she was in waiting room first might have helped....then another 2.5 if still anxious. I have to take it for severe muscle spasms in my back....but she did really well...I felt for her when she said her legs were shaking..that’s horrible, you feel embarrassed as well as scared then..too many emotions to cope with at once! Don’t think I would have liked my eyes covered all the time though. Glad she is ok. ANYBODY, MALE OR FEMALE WHO FINDS AN UNUSUAL LUMP ANYWHERE, PLEASE PLEASE DONT HOLD BACK...GO AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR ASAP. AS IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE HAVING EARLY TREATMENT! 🤞🤞👍

I get nervous like that at the dentist. A tech put one of the lead vests they use for x-rays over me. It helped so much that I got a weighted blanket to take with me. I think that's something good to have in your office for people who have anxiety like this

I have the same bump and was 7 pounds ! I have surgery in Cleveland Oh! The scar was from the middle of my chest under the arm pit! I was sorry don’t do before and wait to grow so big! But was everything ok and I am ok! I did in 2006! Hope you feel ok! They put me to sleep and they scrape all !
