Would have been best to disband the legion and switch to the military service law so that you have a much bigger army, led entirely by Pyrrhus.

@@RealmBuilderGuy You can still do it now, and it would also have additional good side effects: more monthly income (no more legion to pay for) and better research ratio (since that law increases integrated culture happiness). A classic move for this campaign is to conquer and integrate all the Cretans. Like the law, it would again roughly double your army size. Might not fit with your historical re-enactment play-style, but you'd have about 20k troops led by one of the best generals in the world (and Cretans are still fellow Greeks after all). Appeasing the Romans would no longer be necessary and you could definitely kick Carthage out of Syracuse, avenging Agathocles (there's even an option at peace-out to free Syracuse and bring them back if you don't want the land for yourself). I think Pyrrhos was pragmatic enough to do what it takes to get the upper hand, esp with such strong adversaries. I remember reading that he attacked the Spartans while being given military access through their lands, which is not very nice :)

Not sure. First goal will be to try and achieve the dreams Pyrrhus had in his lifetime. That’s hard enough.

unfortunately this game is not easy like CK3: when an inexperienced player wants to take on Rome or Carthage, especially as Epirus, they will get killed. but we will see 😅 the game works just as well if you wanna roleplay as ck3 (less character interactions, but more traits, bloodlines and flavour), but while in ck3 you can sit, chill, and play medieval sims in peace, here - you will be declared multiple wars, especially if your nation is small.

You should try playing as the bosporan kingdom at some point, very difficult initially since you're out manned by the scythians but if tou can wint the first war the challenges becime internesting since the missions are centered around owning the black sea

I believe that to be quite an exaggeration. If you ally two or three nations get a war commission and attack them at the 1st of november, it's game over for the Scythians in 452/253 even at very hard difficulty. One vs one Scythians are beat able as well, just use the terrain well. Lure them into attacking you in the woods with them attacking over a river.
