I have to say, that i love the complex designs in HMI's, how the data is put over a picture or a 3D model is awesome, but, honestly, I know the simplest design is more efficient and i agree about the colors be used only for really important stuff. I think the complex designs were takink place because is a easy way to impress a client (who is not an operator or process supervisor), so in their logic while more complex a design is, more professional the work is, and the most funny of all is while more complex the model is, more work, time and money is needed.

It is very useful video, thanks to real pars teams. I have a question, please respond. We use dark gray for stop mode, white for running. What we can use in fault condition? Motorized valve, valve, pump etc.?
@realpars2 жыл бұрын
Red is usually used for faults and alarms, mainly because it is easy to spot on a light-colored background.

Hello, i've a question : where can i download a typical library of High-Performance HMI Design for TIA Portal ? a typical library to help me to design a good HMI with standard objects. if someone can help me to find that ... Thank you

Thank you for your inquiry. To access the HMI software and hardware from the original equipment manufacturer, Siemens, you can visit their official support page via the following link: support.industry.siemens.com/cs/start?lc=en-US While some downloads are available for free, certain resources may require registration with Siemens for security purposes before accessing them. It's important to note that while a variety of resources are available, not all specific HMI libraries may be readily accessible, as engineering users often create custom libraries for their unique applications and designs. For further guidance and assistance in your learning journey, feel free to explore the provided link. Happy learning from RealPars!

Thanks you for all we do, good video !!! Please Which software to design this type of HMI ?
@realpars2 жыл бұрын
These graphics can be created with a wide range of HMI software products. Siemens WinCC Advanced, Induction Automation Ignition, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View, Aveva InTouch, just to name a few.

Thank you for the fantastic content, concise message, and nicely edited videos - hats off to you guys! I am eagerly awaiting the next video on this topic. In the meantime, can we discuss of these topics as they relate to machine HMIs? What I have seen and read a lot is the topic of "High Performance HMIs" in relation to process operators (lots of tanks, valves, pipes, etc.). What about an HMI for an automated machine with motor settings, recipe control (select, load, backup), buttons to run motors or enable purge mode? What guidance can you provide to design machine HMIs? Thanks!

I was just researching this topic the previous week. Excellent explanation. Is there any specific HMI software you recommend for making these kinds of HMI?
@realpars3 жыл бұрын
There are numerous HMI software packages available in the market that can be used to develop high-performance HMI screens. WinCC from Siemens is a very powerful HMI package that comes in several configurations to serve very small to very large projects. FactoryTalk View from Rockwell and Schneider Wonderware System Platform are two other very popular packages. The choice of which software to use should be made on features provided, future scalability, performance, and of course, cost.
