Could you make a video about how your grade essays faster? Grading essays and research papers takes unbelievable amoints of time for me. You kind of touched on this here, but I feel like I can't even pass those kinds of grading off on my assistant.

Also lighting - lighting looks natural but pretty muted. Need some more color and saturation / overall brightness. This is just my own opinion but I know you want to do well.

@@jazzleiva1993 Well yeah but also the video production value pretty much always matters on KZbin. He is trying to make it as a content creator - why put all that time into making and editing a video if the audio is boomy and the colours are flat? KZbin is a community, but you're also competing against others and some people just won't watch stuff that looks and sounds like you put a phone on a tripod and called it a day.

My school’s policy was after a week it’d be zero. At some point it also became each day late losing points, but I’ve decided that’s going to be too much work for me to track. So I think now I will test out give it to me late but the same day, 69%. Next day or later, 0. I also think I’ll make an application students can fill out if they want to make an appeal for me to grade it normally for it being late because if they go through the effort to fill out the form then it might actually be a legit excuse.

This past year it seemed like if there was any sort of reading on a paper the kids wouldn’t read it and would ask for help when the answers are clearly in the text. 🤦‍♂️

I agree. Our department focused on helping students to "read with grit." This was an effort to help students raise their reading stamina in class. We introduced short amounts of independent reading throughout the week, found better ways to chunk reading assignments, focused on annotating rather than just reading for comprehension, and looking for small ways to make reading fun in class.
