Well I don't do group work because of what I teach but I am going to include it so I can teach these skills. This is so good I took 4 pages of notes and I will be forwarding this to our faculty GROUP ME for everyone to see. This was GOLDEN. Thanks CJ, my BUDDY. LOL

Oh no!! You figured out my secret strategy of being on the math and history and special ed department teams, so I can go to whichever meetings are the nicest! 😅

Got some good info from here. I particularly like the idea of letting students grade each other. THAT could be a game changer.

This video ROCKS. Hi Reynolds, I wonder from what age it would be appropriate to have the students award the distribution of points?

I pick student groups based on the IB Learner Profile but it takes usually like a month to figure that out for the new students. I teach at an IB School in Guangzhou China and I feel if i went to another school with another curriculum this method would stick with me. It's all about "energy levels" --are they risk takers, are they reflective, etc . . .

Hi Reynolds, thank you for this video! How do you manage that one kid in the group that is habitually absent? Kids that flat out refuse to work with their team? Also, how do you manage group projects that require materials to be purchased (i.e. project board, crafts, etc) where one kid ends up buying for the whole group? Thanks in advance!

What about that one pupil with adhd/ dyslexia whom nobody wants to be their group mate?

Ok, I’ve got 35 kids. 3 to a group isn’t enough.

Five is too many, unfortunately I’ve got 4 to a group.

I don't think I caught this at the end of the video, do you let them choose their own groups for the rest of the year?
