Struggling with confidence as a student teacher in a lackluster teacher prep college. Ty for posting. Free resources are all I can afford since we are unpaid.

You're not alone., I am struggling with this too (I'm also student teaching). I feel unprepared for teaching next year and have a lot of anxiety about having my own classroom.

Student teacher here as well! It’s hard to not doubt yourself everyday, but it’s better to doubt yourself than to think you know it all. Accepting that you won’t know that you won’t know everything will change your life. Easier said than done!

I agree that doubting yourself is something good. I don't like it when ppl force positive thinking.

Wow! It's that simple, but so true! This is exactly what I have seen as a teacher in my years, but it has always been necessary to remind me of this. So thank you!!

Your book has really helped me get through some tough times this school year. I don't feel like I'm doing amazing things this year but you've helped me get some great ideas and it's like I have a little corner of hope I'm my mind and heart of the kind of teacher i can become. I feel like I'm taking a back seat this year don't feel very motivated with the admin I have, BUT your book and channel keeps me motivated to make a comeback sometime soon. Thank you.

I'm starting a full time prep coverage position at a public school in the Greater Toronto Area right now, and I appreciate your tips and videos so much. I feel that we have similar teaching styles, so these videos give me confidence that my approach to each class is supportive and appropriate for all of my learners. I really appreciate all the work you have put into these videos, Reynolds!

I just returned to TEFL teaching after a year out. I taught in China for 12 years and I'm now in Spain. I specialize with kids aged 3-10, but in my new school I have to teach teens and adults. My grammar isn't amazing, but I'm putting in the effort to improve it but my problem is making the classes engaging. One of my adult classes is a total disaster and I can already see some of the students are not happy, even sarcastic. I really want to make the classes engaging but it's overwhelming. Thankfully, one of the other teachers said he'll meet up with me and give me some advice, but if anyone else has any, I'd appreciate it because I really feel like a failure. Thank you.

Logan it is definitely something I’ve seen myself progress in over time. I’m not sure I’m naturally confident but I’ve built the skill to the point where, when I’m in my zone I feel unstoppable. Keep pushing buddy!
