Actually, it was 395 for FEDERAL bank fraud; 45 years for the murder of Mr. Thomas in North Carolina, and LIFE in prison for the murder of Mr. Jones in Delaware (actually, that sentence included a murder-for-hire scheme not covered in the video)

Mail Fraud is a Federal crime. The murders were in liberal Mayland. IIRC, Feds take precedence over state or local crime so he's in a Federal pen. Feds not so generous with parole, especially 300 year + sentences. in the unlikely event of an early Federal release, he would be remanded to Maryland to serve out the murder sentence. I'm amazed that Maryland allowed an electric typewriter in his cell where he try to continue to running his scam. SMH

I don’t get the issue with the sentencing. They said he received life (they didn’t add anything else, you did) he also received another 45 years. So I think that the sentencing is fine if you don’t make any of your own assumptions and just listen to the video.

He certainly knew his sister was a serious criminal, he may have been trying to walk a fine line between trying to appear cooperative while protecting his criminal relatives. The murderer fell for it and sent a birthday card and he even put some cash in the card. After that she went to the police._

I love seeing desks with no PCs. Around (and after) 13:30 minutes they show the police station desks then they show another workplace where there are no computers. It just seems so weird now, and I can remember when it was like that. I remember when my dad’s office got a telex machine and it took up half a room!! Not necessarily. The body would fragment after decomposition (and possible animal interference) and it might be those body fragments that were scattered. No time frame for the return was mentioned so it could have been some time after the actual murder.

I like this particular true crime show, because it is not as graphic as some. I saw one that actually showed the victims bloody bodies with their faces and another showed a dead body with wrist tied. I found those shows depressing and always feel that they went too far and did not respect the dead victims and their families.

He was arrested right away. He remained in prison while they investigated the other cases. In fact, while he was in jail for the 'attempted murder' of Mr. Jones, he hatched a murder-for-hire plot to kill Mr. Jones in the hospital. A sting operation was set up and that was added to his charge of murder after Mr. Jones passed away in the hospital from his injuries. I know, all that wasn't in the video, but that's the real story. It's part of why he got life in prison out of the State of Delaware.

Prison Reform!! The biggest injustice is our willful ignorance of how our judicial system is working & the plight of the estimated 2.2 million ppl that r incarcerated in the U S. The craziness of these sentences is just another example of how imbalanced or judicial system is in my opinion judges have too much power to impose drastically different sentences to different ppl & for different crimes. The appellant process also has some insane policies were if u use ur appeals & even if new evidence proves u innocent ur stuck with almost impossible options if any. Most of us don't think twice about the inmates cuz they deserve what they get right!? Please watch a quick story about after prison Ryan's story 21 yr old kid dui killed someone big mistake tragedy for the victims yes this poor kid thrown into a prison system were he was brutalized raped given AIDS he had I think a 2 or 3 yr sentence. Now he has a disease that will affect him plus trauma it's disgusting we as a Free country have prison institutions that mix murders & dui offenders or someone that cashes a bad check with rapists!
