My Mom also taught me how to make Yorkshire Pudding, and mine are just like that. We take the eggs and milk out in the morning so they are at room temperature when making the mix. As well, we use bacon fat which is in the oven at 450 prior to putting in the mix. Back in at 450 for 30 minutes and watch them rise like you have never had before!! If you are doubling the recipe, be sure to do this separately in another bowl. Do not double the recipe in the same bowl. 2 eggs (beaten) Add 1 cup of milk Add 1/2 tsp salt Add 1cup of flour Remember eggs and milk at room temperature. I just take them out in the morning and set them on the counter. Use 1/2 tsp of bacon fat in each of the muffin things!
@mchapman1324 жыл бұрын
@@kimmacrae8623 - thank you. My recipe is identical except for the bacon fat. I just just the beef drippings from the roast. My oven is getting old, I’ve had to adjust many recipes. Mom used to like the Yorkshire pudding cold with jam. I like that too, but rarely we have any left over from supper.

If you want yorkshire pudding to poof the highest. remember one thing. The ingredients need to be room temperature. Yorkshire pudding does not like to be cold. Then it goes into a piping hot prepared pan, with beef drippings, I use oxo and lard, and individual muffin tins, preheated at 425F And yep, never fails. Just set your milk and eggs onto the counter in the morning, and whip it up before cooking.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CHEF! MICHAEL IS SOMETHING OF A KNOW IT ALL. HE IS VERY FLIRTY AND EVEN MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE. I AM WRITING FROM U.S.A. DEEP SOUTH ACTUALLY, I ALWAYS LOVE YOUR RECIPES. BUT DOWN HERE IN THE DEEP SOUTH, WE BAKE EXTREME DESERTS EVERY DAY. MOST OF THE TIME, ON CHRISTMAS DAY WE WILL HAVE APPROXIMATELY 6 TO 8 VERY LARGE AND VERY RICH CAKES, PIES , DESERT BARS. MOST OF THE CAKES ARE 3 TO 6 LAYERS. I BAKE FOR THE PUBLIC. MY GANACHE IS USUALLY A LITTLE THINNER BUT MUCH MORE ON THE CAKE. WE POUR IT OVER SEVERAL TIMES WHILE IT IS HOT. ON A YULE LOG, I USUALLY MAKE BERRIES AND GREEN LEAVES TO LAY ON ONE END OF THE LOG AND USUALLY I HAVE MORE CREME FILLING. IT ALWAYS TURNS OUT BEAUTIFULLY. ITALIAN CREME , RED VELVET, TRIPLE CHOCOLATE, AND COCONUT CAKES ARE VERY POPULAR HERE. IT LOOKS LIKE WE MAY HAVE A LOT TO LEARN FROM YOU. OH, AND I ALWAYS MAKE HOMEMADE CANDY. FUDGE, PRALINE PECANS, CARAMEL PECAN TURTLE CANDY , AND MY FAVORITE ARE THE MARTHA WASHINGTON CANDY. BUT IT TAKES A FULL DAY FOR THOSE. I AM GOIMG TO TRY SOME OF YOUR RECIPES. THEY LOOK WONDERFUL. HOWEVER, I DON'T THINK I COULD STOMACH A FISH PIE. LOTS OF LOVE FROM THE COAST OF AMERICA!
