Actually, I don't think it's ever fully Camilla's fault. Yes, keeping contact with your ex while you and your ex already have families on your own is wrong. But the biggest fault is on Charles, when he gave hope, gave signal to Diana that he loves her, made her, convinced her to marry him, when he wasn't even sure about his feeling. And for the worse, it turned out that he still loves Camilla for all this time. It's sad to see Camilla have to bear people's bad judgments on her, but it is always you reap what you sow.

Overall, I agree with what you say. Enough so I went & copied this comment I made a bit ago. Some of it will be out of context, but.... @Indy Seeram while unfair, somewhat valid. (This was in reply to Camilla's looks & then goes on into their relationships) However with an heir & spare ...such a vile term. Can you imagine spending your life being called a spare? Anyway, she's not the bloodline so it doesn't matter. Also, I loathed her for years myself. But at this point honestly I think she has earned respect. Neither of them can help that they loved each other but weren't allowed to marry. Frankly until very recently it was not only normal, it was public, practically expected and known by all that royalty had mistresses. For god sake they were at court even. I loved Diana, she was amazing. She got along as well as she could & so did Charles. By royal standards, the heir apparent fulfilled his duties as did Diana and then they were free to liaise. It's certainly unfortunate that it didn't happen about 20 years earlier due to publicity and more modern day standards. Still, of any woman on earth who's kept a stiff upper lip, never once defended herself no matter how reviled she was fair or unfair, kept plugging along and earned at least respect if not fondness, it's Camilla. I do wish people would stop persecuting her. The pair of them waited forever through no end of hell, disallowed to be together publicly for almost half their lives. You can see him absolutely beaming ever since they got together. I seriously thought he was a very taciturn and grumpy man. Really he was miserably sad & lonely for ages. It's really quite priceless to see him so sublimely happy that it just radiates from him in almost every picture or video you see. And any human that would go through what they did in the way of flak, to still get married as soon as they were allowed, absolutely loves that person heart and soul. I'm not British so my opinion doesn't matter. But I don't think there's any good reason for him not to step into the role he's been training for 7 decades. God bless HMTQ I certainly hope she has good years to go yet. But Charles in my opinion is more than worthy of the relatively short time he'll have on the throne. Honestly, I believe William & Katharine will benefit from watching some of the modernization Prince Charles would like to implement. It will give them growth & likely save them from mistakes that would cause strain because it's a big leap from QEII to their generation. Charles & Camilla will significantly soften the transition. Okay, I'll stop babbling now. Btw, I absolutely loved Diana and still do. It still hurts me she's gone. My endorsement of Charles & Camilla takes nothing away from her. ✌💞

I think they should follow William's lead and have to date for a decade so they know if they are a perfect match for each other and they get a feel of how living in the royal fishbowl is going to be and once married the new bride should be given a year or so to ease in to her role and find her niche within the family and among the people that she will be dutiful & charitable to . I would say she's the source of the traditional. The values the current Queen grew up learning and taught to her own children, I'd presume. Now if things were the way of the Queen Mum, Charles and Harry would have had to give up their place to the throne because they both married divorcees. That didn't happen, so the Queen isn't as strict in those values as one might think, but she has to be very careful as that is what makes them the RF to begin with.

The amount of joy and tourist dollars that are generated by the monarchy are the return Britain gets on investing in them, and that means they are earning their keep. The sad difference between Princess Diana and Meghan is Princess Diana was set up as being a naive young girl in her teens while Meghan was already seasoned woman in her middle 30s and knows the score. So she can't keep using the "naiveness" of being young because at her middle 30s she had one marriage under her belt and many relationships. No excuse and she knew she was getting into in the first place compared to Princess Diana who was totally naive. People say a lot about Meghan Markle (I'm American) and I never much cared for her, but I do think she and Prince Harry genuinely love each other. The problem comes in when there is the thought that she can transform the monarchy (whether or not it needs transforming is another conversation) and the two of them can live the life they want; Meghan and Harry just simply did not fit into that life and be able to do as they wished--for good or bad, that is again another conversation. Prince Harry has said that he had doubts back in his 20s. I wish them well. I hope they can do the sort of work they wish and live the life they wish--which they cannot do as working royals--from here on out. Perhaps family relations can be repaired - perhaps not. Not all families get along--some wounds are deep and never heal. This must be especially true for a royal family.

I do wish people would stop persecuting her. The pair of them waited forever through no end of hell, disallowed to be together publicly for almost half their lives. You can see him absolutely beaming ever since they got together. I seriously thought he was a very taciturn and grumpy man. Really he was miserably sad & lonely for ages. It's really quite priceless to see him so sublimely happy that it just radiates from him in almost every picture or video you see. And any human that would go through what they did in the way of flak, to still get married as soon as they were allowed, absolutely loves that person heart and soul. I'm not British so my opinion doesn't matter. But I don't think there's any good reason for him not to step into the role he's been training for 7 decades. God bless HMTQ I certainly hope she has good years to go yet. But Charles in my opinion is more than worthy of the relatively short time he'll have on the throne. Honestly, I believe William & Katharine will benefit from watching some of the modernization Prince Charles would like to implement. It will give them growth & likely save them from mistakes that would cause strain because it's a big leap from QEII to their generation. Charles & Camilla will significantly soften the transition. Personally Princess Diana had no clue what to expect. If her family knew about what she was getting into they ignored her questions. What is worse being naive she wasn't aware of Prince Charles having a love of his own without her knowledge until the engagement was announced. Was it fair that Prince Charles lied to Princess Diana? After all being 10 years older he should have been fair to her to discuss the truth. It was only later - when we heard stories of her bad temper - having to pay $250,000 because she threw a cup of tea at a maid, making Kate cry at preparations for the wedding, spending over $400,000 a year on clothes, where Kate spends only $30,000, etc... that we started to see her for the person she really is. At no time has anyone not liked her for her racial background - I don’t think anyone cares if she’s white, black, green, or pink ... We care about her character - and from what we’ve seen, she’s a grifter who wants the benefits of the Royal family ($$$, private planes, designer clothes, famous friends), without any of the ‘work’ of caring for the people of the British Commonwealth. Harry and Meghan had an amazing platform and could have changed the world - but instead decided that an artificial life of (borrowed) monster houses, plastic surgery and botox are more important. I think Meghan grew up in Los Angeles wanting to be a big star - married Harry and thought she could come back as the biggest thing ever - but it hasn’t worked out that way
