@bookmouse27194 жыл бұрын
Yes...funny about that.
@sarahbunker48214 жыл бұрын
To be fair Henry didn't divorce his wives he annulled them. Divorce and Annulment are different. When you divorce someone you're acknowledging that the marriage was lawful and legal. Annulling your marriage means that the marriage was never real and wasn't lawful. I'm not defending Henry Viii because he was a real tyrant or the church of England, but you should atleast have your facts right before you criticize them.
@sarahbunker48214 жыл бұрын
@SA S Your right. Divorce didn't really exist in medieval and tudor europe since the catholic church considered marriage a sacrament and therefore unable to be broken by men. However divorce and an annulment are still two different things, and it's annoying when people don't realize that and just think an annulment was another word for divorce in Tudor England.

@J Hall oh really, Meghan's family first turned on her, first of all her siblings treated her very poorly because her mother is black, they always told their friends that her mother was the maid. They only wanted to acknowledge her when she married a prince, I guess they taught they could benefit from it. She asked her father to walk her down the isle, but two days before they weren't able to get in contact with him, prince Charles had to take her down the isle. Later her father said he had a stroke and he was in a hospital, they called the hospital many times to see how he was doing, but the hospital had no knowledge of him being there. The next thing they knew was that he was trashing her to the press for two cents, she called and begged him not to do it again, but he continued, so she stopped speaking to him and I don't blame her. No one has the right to chose a partner for anyone, whoever you meet in life is your destiny, it's away for a reason, either to learn, teach or both, God decides who we connect with, weather a relationship last or not, we always lean something, it's called teaching of the soul and making changes.

There's no pressure marrying into a Royal family. The problem that some people have, like the wife of Harry, is that she does not understand that a commoners life ends permanently. Whatever the commoner was doing before the marriage will have to stop due to other regulations that must be done to continue the whatever Royal institution they have entered. Not many see that from outside unless they are told about this in school or in Church somewhere.

As an American, I am disappointed with how Meghan has handled and abandoned her new role. She knew, when they married, that she had to give up her political views and political voice; yet, she was hurt over not being able to have a political opinion. That is not the position of the monarchy, and I can assure you, they educated Meghan in great detail prior to her marriage. It is just sad and disappointing. That said - if the royal family mistreated her, then that must be addressed and made right. But leaving is not how to handle things. Just sad all around.

Then she claimed she received no training at all even though the Queen's former assistant assisted her with 6 months of royal training and then claimed the Royal family never defended her even after making at least 8 public statements defending her .....including the one involving Kate by stating "there is no feud between the two".

I hate it how they say: "Every girl wants to become a princess" - this old cliché was probably never true, not even in times to marry was the only career choice vor women. BIG Facepalm!
@aac6216ljc4 жыл бұрын
Every peasant, serf, slave, plebeian dreamed of even working in the palace or castle just to receive the wages, let alone even dream of bathing everyday, wearing fine clothes, and eating to their heart’s content and all the privileges that come with the responsibilities of ruling. Marriage wasn’t a career choice, it was heaven. The idea that women couldn’t or didn’t work throughout history is ridiculous. They were simply restricted from pursuing select jobs. The lower class women got to plow and work the fields all day, and cook and manage all the tasks of a farm or home. Every girl throughout history (alright, let’s be generous and say 85%) has wanted to be a princess.
@KashishVenaikkashven_01x3 жыл бұрын
@@aac6216ljc in those times, women could not have a say in these matters as well - they were not allowed to control any aspects of their earning. Their earnings would go to their father / husband even if they worked in the fields for a wage. They could not pursue their interests at the time. Yes, being a princess in such an environment sounds awesome(even upto the 90s when knowledge of how the patriarchy affects us was not known). But not anymore - every girl wants to be a Queen that changes things rather than a princess that is a puppet and looks beautiful all the time.
@aac6216ljc3 жыл бұрын
@@KashishVenaikkashven_01x If you think princesses are puppets, you have a poor understanding of history. It wasn’t patriarchal values that kept women “down”, that’s what modern, uneducated feminists say virtually about all of history. It is so unscientific to generalize like that, especially when you take into context time, available technology, wealth, genetics, culture, etc. I urge you to expand your knowledge by reading classic tomes and sources.
