If you want to cut down this stabbing culture, what the courts need to do is to give these murderers PROPER sentences. People who purposely kill (not stab someone who then dies, but who stab someone with the intention of killing) with blades do so to see the person die. To see their eyes as the light goes out. Beavers, cubs, scouts and whatever comes after Scouts for boys, but, not just voluntary, make it compulsory, 5 days a week after School, a sure fire way to keep 5 to hopefully, 20-something-year-olds off all UK streets and Scottish streets. Teachers, go home, let the wolf pack leaders take over, between the hours of 2.30 pm to at least, 8.00 PM. I really enjoyed being a browny, girl guide, ranger, for 10 years of my own Schooling. Shame it was only one day per week rather than the 4 days a week I was away at Boarding School. I love doing a lot of good for my community whereever and whenever I feel I can be of any use or help to people. It used to make me feel on top of the world, totally wowed up to the sky and back, receiving any of my 20 or so badges I earnt over the years as a real representative of what good should really look like. I would quite happily, set up a cub scout movement in my own children's back garden if we couldn't get a hut or church hall and I would operate all the way through the afterschool trouble periods 5 days per week, with integrated homework and quiet times just before I broke the packs up for taps followed by hometime. We would spend our evenings as I did as a browny guide, doing various arts and crafts, lighting campfires and cooking the children's evening meals over them in a fire pit or on a barbecue, going for bike rides or treasure trails in local parks or woods, going to the movies, going to the amusement arcades and tenpin bowling, going to the gym or swimming or dance classes, all the normal things you would be doing about town, but you'd do them as a big team or party rather than with your smaller family network. The subs fees pe by each boy or girl would go towards the activities above. Secondly, my Grandad had to do national service once he left, School, in the mid to late 1940s. My Gran thinks compulsory national service would be the answer for today's crime rates. Lastly, I think broadcasting most of these stabbings in the news headlines is a very bad idea. It gives the murderers and/or perpetretors notoriety, they think its 1 all, like a good result for their favourite football/soccer teams playing at home and winning all matches, no questions asked.

Even if you treat all kids the same there is still other influences out of parent's control, like friends, school, environment, mental illnesses or personality. Nobody should be responsible for something they didn't cause. You have totalitarian way of thinking. And I bet you even think that I should thank you for fulfilling the "duty" of bringing to life another human being in this already overpopulated world... another adult probably as hypocrite as you...
