Glad that you had a wonderful Christmas. I spent mine in the hospital as had a lung biopsy and my lung deflated so they put me on a inflated machine of which took awhile. Mel I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your understanding on my sister and how I felt like God was telling me to spend time with her and explain to her that I know she was hurting and she was grieving for her husband and I told her that if she felt like crying then cry and to not hold it in because that would be the worst thing she could do and she knows that I am just a phone call away but she was gonna have to face it to be able to get through I love her and she knows I’ll be here anytime she feels like talking. Don't know about your area, but in my area, some roofers won't install metal they didn't order. You might want to check out that aspect when checking on hiring installers, and/or ordering metal.

Usually, it’s plumbing first then AC heating and then your electric electric can go around harder fixtures or bigger fixtures where if you get it pulled in they’re tight the other things won’t move so remember that when you start doing your in wall appliance stuff

Mel, it's just the opposite. The small stuff on the inside usually takes a long time. My parents never got there walk in closet painted. They passed away and I couldn't bring myself to paint before we sold it.

Before ordering your metal, see what type of price you can get from a company that does roofs. They will have to carry a warranty on their work so if you buy the material, they may not warranty the product if you buy another type metal. I hope you can get it done for you. Your making great headway, stick to it. As I have read and it seemed so true, "Christmas is never the same after your mother passes away" We use to bring my mother to stay with us from Nov.1st -the end of March so she had the holidays and all the birthdays of the grandkids. She would wrap all the presents and bake Oh my Gosh. She also taught the girls how to quilt. We really miss her. I have done most all my drywall over the last 40 years, but as I'm older now and I have friends who own a drywall company, I hire them and what took me a week or two they did in 2 days. 1st day (hanging it and taping it and mudding), day 2 (sanding and touching it up and Texturing everything). Another friend owns a roofing company, and watching them work gives me goosebumps, They are so fast and the team work is amazing. Sounds like the Kiddos had a great time.

Gary if you are using the same type of roofing that Lumnah Acres used you might want to hire it done. 1) you would have some type of warranty. 2) They had a special tool that tightened up the seams I really appreciated the looks and the type of roof they put on. I always said if I built a house of my own I would have every room on a separate breaker that way if someone blew a breaker it would not put other areas out. As a bonus if you give a child a time out kick their breaker off and they would definitely have time to think of the errors of their ways LOL. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.

@RealTalkwithSLR I'm not jealous, I have no need for that stuff. I jump in ice tubs in winter here in Colorado. I would never be able to wear heated jackets. I use a pitcher with a built-in filter for water. I probably paid 30 bucks for pitcher, and it works. It just seems as though you all get the same stuff, kinda interesting. Worked retail back breaking jobs for 40 years. Unfortunately, we didn't have luxury of your jobs. I'm not saying it's easy, but you are on your time not given a time.
