for commander legality, you can add the term "legal:commander" to exclude banned and silver-bordered cards in addition to filtering based on color identity "id:g". I assume they keep it separate so that if someone wants to do a rule-0 deck with un-cards they can still use the id filter on non-legal cards.

The anthems on edhrec were because the token generation ability of sekki is not linked to its counters. So with an anthem, you can have a 1/1 sekki with no counter that prevent all damage and create that many 1/1 spirit.

This. You can quite easily put an aura or an equipment that buffs defense on Sekki as well and have it be unable to die to damage. But having an anthem effect that affects the spirit tokens as well would be great, because as soon as Sekki stops dying from damage, it all becomes a game around creating as much tokens as possible.

Scryfall is my goto tool for deckbrewing; it's fantastic for filtering things according to what I'm looking for :D (can even filter by card price!)

Sekki goes infinite with Blasting Station on the battlefield as it enters. You just need some kind of payoff, like Altar of the Brood or Hardened Scales to get either a full mill, or way too many spirits for any opponent to handle. So if anybody wants to build it the "unfun" way, I think that's the way to go. The only problem is that it won't be consistent as there's no real way to tutor up that Blasting Station in mono green.

Great seeing your process, I'm impressed that you don't end up with like 400 cards then have to cut down to 150 then struggle. But your process is quite different from mine. But that at the end you needed to put cards in to get to 100 was rather impressive

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but you can use oracletag searches. So oracletag:ramp brings up a bunch of ramp spells etc...

Hey Demo, loved seeing this. I love that art on sekki - one of the most important things for choosing a commander for me). I am building a mono green lure/fight deck (inspired by your Gor Muldrak & elven warhounds idea) and I'm choosing between Rhonas or Toski... but now this is interesting too! I watched your original one of these way back when you first did it and wondered when it would return. You can get rid of silver bordered cards (and banned cards) by clicking 'commander' under 'legal formats' in scryfall. Also what is that amazing Woodfall Primus art!? Love it

Instead of the advanced search, you can use filters. If you only want commander legal cards, add "Format=commander" . I love to use my own filters, because you can say "fo:spirit" (fo means full oracle) and "id:G" and that will give you any card that is mono green identity, and has the word "spirit" anywhere on the card.

on scryfall advanced serch there is literally a drop down menu for 'legal in' format.

I was thinking about Phantom Nantuko for this deck, since it (and all other Phantom Spirits) is so similar to your commander. Also, Tetravus could be really sick together with some counter doubling effect or something.

You probably could have done something with the fact Sekki doesn't take damage. Buff its defense with anything that's not a +1/+1 counter and it won't die from damage, but still make a ton of tokens. I think I saw you skip on Warbriar Blessing, but it's probably the funniest fight spell for this commander. I wouldn't be surprised if Sekki made a great Voltron commander either. Sekki Mutate. Think about it.

one issue I could see is alot of this strategy involves the commander already being out, so perhaps finding ways to cheat the commander out from the command zone? though I'm unsure how many of those exist, a jeweled lotus might also be nice for this deck in particular (I have the luck of owning one IRL that I pulled randomly, and if people are building these for online play price might not matter)

i would have found more artifacts that deal damage. for example viridian longbow. also the green gorgon that gives deathtouch is nice with al the fighting you have. you can use on spirit too.

To remove non-commander-legal cards just go to the "Formats" section and put it to Legal: Commander.

I enjoyed this as it was cool to see your process. Great as a special video. Just don't replace the simple format. I love the shorter form videos for getting my own ideas for decks going.
