Tried cancelling pornography. They've been the cancel culturists for all time, but it's recently now spreading on the left and now it's a real problem. It's also extremely overexaggerated. The whole Dr. Seuss thing was not from any pressure from the left. It was a business decision by the Dr. Seuss Foundation, and most of us didn't even know about it until the right freaked out over it. I personally think they wanted it like that, to get 6 books which aren't selling and get these people to buy them up before they get discontinued. Brilliant strategy. Any business out there that's in trouble, just pretend the left is trying to cancel your products and watch the right-wingers flood to your store or website and buy it all up just to show those pesky cancel culture, SJW, snowflake libtards! Also, you have incidents where Nike has Colin Kaepernick do commercials and they try to cancel them by burning their own Nike's. A company that makes coolers took away a discount to NRA members and they reacted by blowing up their expensive coolers. lmfao Bill Maher's focus on the left is playing right into these people's hands. Doesn't mean he doesn't have a point, but you'd think it's solely a left-wing thing, when it's worse and always has been on the right.

It's more like the norms that pay attention only to CNN and MSNBC and don't put much thought into what it is they're being told to think and where it comes from even though they almost certainly feel uneasy about it. I remember feeling like that in the 90s. As an actual liberal (not a Democrat or progressive) I just had more and more cognitive dissonance about these new PC ideas that almost seemed antithetical to actually liberalism. At some point you have to say, regardless of what the almost unified media and Hollywood tell you, something is just not right.

Bill Maher's relationship to his live audience is so cringeworthy. I wish someone would sit him down and say 'ok boomer' , people do not respond the same way they did in 1980 to punchlines. He has been doing that for the past 15 years ,and it is SO FUCKING AWKWARD. Bill take it easy... your audience is half your age anymore, and it is okay if you don't get the exact laugh that you think you should get at the exact moment.
