"Steel door" story... yiiiikes. That should have been reported to law enforcement, considering the possible link to a missing teenager. It could have been nothing, but if it WAS "something," it could have been the key to solving the case and putting the sicko responsible away forever, or if he's already passed, at least some sort of closure/answers for the surviving family of the missing girl.

My parents were in real estate for a short time back in the 1960s. I loved when I got to go with them to empty houses. I was eight or nine. Never saw one all that scary but saw some that had terrible design flaws and bad ideas in general.

Lots of people seem just okay with a locked door in a house that they own? If that’s my house I’m going in EVERY room.

Definitely! I wouldn't even sleep at a hotel room with a door in it that I can't open.

@ right who lives in a house that they own and just go “we don’t have a key guess we can’t go in there”

These arent real stories. Every single one has a neighbor who says something different than the actual owner. That pattern isnt real.

Also the pattern of “Can’t say I blame them!” In a consistent row is also unnormal

@strawberrymilk1186 it doesn't sound like reddit stories. More like someone had AI generate stories that fit a consistent theme.

@ def agree with you there!

idk about yall, but I think stigmatized houses should be disclosed. yes i know it isnt a material fact but still, could save both buyers and sellers from a mess of a transaction, and ease some stress of a bad transaction off a licensee

A lot of these seem like law enforcement should have been alerted. Or at least what could be evidence tagged and put aside with what was known for the future when anyone was looking to solve cold cases.
