His playing is so soulful. This is great. I have this interface as well. Amazing.

Nice video guys. Cleared up quite a few things around the enigmatic re-amping for me.

Another nice thing about reamping is that if you have any guitar effects software that's on your computer you can now put it ahead of the amp as long as you put it on the DI track that you are sending out to the amplifier

I have Orion Studio (the first generation) Recorded the guitar via the interface's Hi-Z input. Set the recording level as high as possible without clipping. Routed the USB output to the Reamp output. Set the Reamp level to the max. Connected a standard guitar jack-jack cable from the Reamp out to my Marshall. The soud is completely different than connecting my guitar directly to the amp. It's dull and it's quiet. What did I do wrong?

Great tutorial on reamping and Antelope’s Discrete 8 interface with tasteful guitar playing 🎸 I was just wondering how with a 30dB input gain, the output sound is not anywhere close to clipping? 🤔 Thanks!

Great video as always, is latency ever a concern in re-amping, especially with all this rerouting of the signal?

The DAW should compensate the output, I’ve never noticed any mismatch

On my system, I never noticed it until I quad tracked some rhythm guitars. If I combine a reamped track with a direct recorded track on the same stereo side then the two will be slightly out of phase - due to a minuscule amount of latency, therefore I need to reamp both of the tracks so they both have the same amount of normally unnoticed latency, or adjust the waveform just slightly so they line up (not that easy).

@@yinyangguitars6456 Thanks for the feedback. I plan to start re-amping soon.

@@Tone-Quest yeah, reamping is awesome. And normally I just dual track so the minuscule latency is never noticed

Basically, I could record quiet with my Boss IR-200 and re-amp the guitar tracks later when I can do it loud. I mean, I've known about re-amping, but it's only now that I see it as a possibility and a brilliant idea!
@yinyangguitars64562 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as you record a DI track of the guitar performance

too much caffeine? Are you mentioning the wrong (diametrically opposing) drugs? Please identify the artists you've recorded who couldn't perform because of coffee. I'll wait......
