Basically this guy out of one side of his mouth “dont shouldn’t bless people in irregular situations they are living in sin, that’s against the church”. Freely admit I actually never knew Mel Gibson was historically a sedevacantist..... I guess in Ireland I just knew his movies & liked many he directed. They're very good in many ways in fairness as far as art goes... As somebody that actually never knew this & as a faithful Catholic, all I can say is that it makes me very sad that he is not in Communion with ordinary Catholics like me, and rejects the authority I respect :( Meh...It's a terrible thing, because he has talents he could invest in folk and Communion if only he doesn't keep eating the 'Apple'.

Sadly no sedevacantist is a Catholic, because one condition is that you don’t avoid communion with those in fellowship with the Pope. Mel Gibson is a type of Protestant. I really wish he would come around though, it would be great to have him onboard.

A related aside, these Lefverists KEEP going on about 'tradition' and, of course, 'reverence.' They are tradition and reverence obsessives. But they cannot distinquish between tradition and Tradition. They place small 't' tradition such as liturgy, the use of Latin and anything from 1570 at the level of infallibility and even place the Liturgy - and one particular Liturgy at that - above the Pope, Magisterium and Church entire. But Tradition as in capital 'T' - that which is received (though developed) dogma that must be believed, such things as papal infallibility, the indefectability of the Church, the dogmas of Vatican II and Vatican I (The Lefverists outright reject II and play very loose with I) are 'negotiable.' So they reject 'Tradition' and turn around and judge the Church worldwide for abandoning tradition and plaster KZbin and social with their messages on such. Drives me nuts. Fortunately... I have anime.

Vigano is from a rich family. Ive seen he might be worth $22 million. He was sued by his own brother and had to pay his brother $2 million in inheritance after their father died. He was trying to steal money from his own brother. He also lost a lawsuit against a nun.

Notice how most saints of the church tend to have the practice of obedience in common ? Saint Athanasius, Saint Francisc, Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Saint Padre Pio. All of them were in situations where they could have revolted against church authority but didn't. They complied to it and obeyed such authority, only to be found orthodox in their teachimgs and be declared saints, suvmitting themselves to the judgement of their bishops, or the inquisition? Or that of the pope. Meanwhile all tyese latin rite protestants do the exact opposite.

We watched "Man without a Face" last night. Mel Gibson is really a great actor. But when it comes to his religious beliefs I've known he is crazy sauce for many years. I was going to a church lead by a Father Berry, one of the infamous nine who left the Pius X society in 1982 or thereabouts, and I heard he was giving advice to Gibson at some point. Birds of a feather and all that.

I believe Mel Gibson was raised a Sede, if so, it's kind of understandable. He was raised that way. Was Archbishop Vigano likewise raised a Sede Vacanist? It's hard to accept that - Ignorance, lack of theological education, catechetical training was likewise "missing" He is after all an Archbishop. Our Lord in John 9:41 speaks to the Pharisees who declared that they do indeed "see" His reply was: "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you are saying, "We see", so your sin remains" It is a terrible responsibility to have Authority. Especially Spiritual Authority. One must be very careful. Pray for both, but especially for Archbishop Vigano.

So, I don't understand Vigano. Vatican II ended in 1965, which would mean the entire Catholic Church ceased to exist as a legitimate Church also in 1965. Vigano was ordained a priest in 1968. If he's right, why has he been cosplaying as a priest and bishop all these years? By his own logic, he is not a priest, let alone a bishop! Same logic applies to all the sedevacantists and anti-Vatican II people: if the Church ceased to be legit in 1965, then there is no Seat to be vacant, as there is no Church.

I think I understand the convoluted nature of Viagno logic a little better now! I looked up Williamson. He was an Anglican who entered the Church in 1971 and was ordained in 1976 by LeFebvre. Out of all this convoluted bunch, LeFebvre is the only one legitimately ordained before Vatican II! So basically, Vigano, according to Vigano logic, has been "shooting blanks" as a non-priest / non-bishop between 1968 and 2023! And it has only been the last nine months that Vigano was ever even a legitimate priest! And probably self-excommunicated the whole time! Vigano logic. Lord help us!

@@HONORABLESOUL397 if you are referring to the attacks against Pope Francis leveled by Vigano without anything to back them up, I think you should put such attacks out of your mind. Vigano has been really vicious with his attacks, ever since his good friend McCarrick was exposed and Vigano was afraid he would be exposed as McCarrick's protector when he was nuncio to the US.
