No one can use religion as a comfort blanket unless he or she truly believes the claims made. If you're inclined to think that no reasonable person can in sincerely subscribe to the claims of Christianity, this video tells the story of how a thoughtful, intelligent and intellectually rigorous person made her journey from hostility and unbelief to become a person of faith *and* reason. If you have any openness to this possibility, it can be worth your time to appreciate Dr Kathleen Noller's journey and consider its implications.

@gracenotes5379 _'No one can use religion as a comfort blanket unless he or she truly believes the claims made'_ Yes, you make my point for me here. _'If you're inclined to think that no reasonable person can in sincerely subscribe to the claims of Christianity'_ Of couse people can sincerely believe in the claims of Christianity, Its the reasonableness of the claims that is in question as there is no real evidence for any God or anything supernatural. Dr Kathleen Noller's Story contains no good testible verifiable evidence that any God actually exists. She seems to be drawn to Christianity by emotions rather than evidence. With respect, John.

@@RedefineLiving Atheism does not involve believing in some supernatural benefactor in the sky looking over you. So please explain how atheism could possibly be a comfort blanket? And why do you say atheism is popular? Atheism is still in the minority and in some countries can get you ostracized or even killed.

@ Atheists pretend there is no God because they don’t want to be accountable to God. Atheism is like a child hiding under a blanket so their daddy doesn’t put them in trouble after doing something wrong. They have a juvenile mentality and that’s why they come here and say goofy stuff like “ benefactor in the sky”, but they could never engage in a mature minded conversation.
