Hufflepuff is the most underrated house out of all 4 houses. We can be assumed to be the left overs, the weak ones, and the ones with no special talent. However, when it comes down to it we value loyalty, and kindness. We are dedicated and true. The traits of a person you would wanna associate yourself with. Not to mention we don't specify wanting just one specific type of person to be in our house. Helga Hufflepuff says it herself. "We'll teach the lot and treat them just the same.." 💛

As a Hufflepuff, I don't consider the Slytherins who didn't participate in the Battle of Hogwarts to be "Weaselly" as you put it. I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. I can see many of the senior Slytherins looking after younger students who weren't allowed to participate, and perhaps the rest discovered that they would be fighting against family members and couldn't bring themselves to do that. I would be very careful about projecting so much Slytherin Hate if I were you, its not becoming of a Hufflepuff to do so.

There are a couple amazing stuff about Hufflepuff you missed: 1. Their house is right next to the kitchens, and sometimes, Hufflepuffs have gotten free food from there 2. I've watched videos that people believe Bellatrix Lestrange was a Hufflepuff so if that's true then that's what you get when a Hufflepuff is a Dark Witch or Wizard. So I agree. Hufflepuff can be hard to define by some which means that we're unpredictable and are able to be less paid attention to. We love and care for those who others would look down on or be unacceptable of, so we're the ones more likely to stand up for human rights than others.

.... I'm a gryffindor. I wanted hufflepuff. Everyone here is lucky to be hufflepuff. Btw, Hufflepuff's are great because they're excellent finders, they kind and tolerant but will not hesitate to stand up for what they believe in, they love hard and love their friends and family and they love everyone! No matter what happens, Hufflepuffs are fantastic and are always there for anyone who needs them. They are bad@$$, they are awesome! They so sweet and lovely! They're also very patient and let's not forget how Cedric wanted a rematch at quidditch when Harry got hurt and couldn't catch the snitch! And Tonks literally went to battle after having a kid! It's not hating on other houses to call them out. Depends how strong your principles are (and much shit shit you've dealt with from them). I'd understand Slytherin students for what they've done, but that doesn't mean it's forgotten, or that they're to be trusted. That's specifically because they can't pick a side and can't fight for justice that I wouldn't trust them as much. I can't blame them for not wanting to fight their families, but I can most definitely remind them that in times of hardships and troubles, they can't seem to differentiate bullies and victims because of their feelings. For that, I would often expect a backstab, if they are cornered. Kindness is not blind forgiveness. Because to do so is not kindness to the ones that have suffered. To teach and grow together for better outcomes is kindness. Now with that being said, if they are treated unfairly and need support, I'd stand with them too. Loyalty and justice, but not at the cost of others.

Don't the nice Slytherins get sick of being in dungeons & having snakes as their house animal? Snakes & dungeons are both so scary. Even Ravenclaw had something scary about it: high ceilings & open spaces. And so much blue.That's why I transferred to Hufflepuff: for the airy (but not overly spacious) rooms, the low ceilings, being next to the kitchens, a prettier & earthier color scheme, & because I have more favorite Hufflepuff characters than Ravenclaw characters (from the books). Hufflepuff here too! But also a Brit - the emblem is a European badger, that is the badger we have here in the U.K. which is where Hogwarts is, we do NOT have the American badger or honey badger, they are all quite different, our badger is the most docile. We only have one venomous snake, the adder and I’m sure if either came across each other they would appear threatening at first but then flee in opposite directions.
