I've tried 1000 different things on my skin and many things didn't work, some things worked a little bit. Beef tallow on the other hand has been borderline life changing. I don't understand it and can't explain it, it just works and it feels good. Even helped heal a skin issue that I've had for like 15 years. It's also the best chap stick I've ever used - the typical burts bees and stuff would always leave my lips dry after, with tallow that is not the case. And you don't need to put much on at all. It's worth a try for anyone even considering it.

Hi Jacqui, I just came upon your post...1 year later!😅 and wanted to ask a couple of questions if you wouldn't mind answering? 1. I reside in Marlborough NZ. I was wondering where to source quality tallow here in NZ. I gather you are on your own farm? Do you think the local butcher would be adequate, I'm pretty sure all NZ cattle are grass fed. I know it's not as trustworthy as off your own farm. However, we do have a couple of local butchers with very good reputations here. Are there any questions you would suggest to ask in regards to the quality? Tia 🙏 Jem

I like music sometimes I put my earphones loud I am 20 years old after all but when I want to hear information I don't really want to hear music I'm not that kind of person where you can listen to music and grasp information being told to you at the same time. However, today, I got a breakout by my nose and it’s one of the deep painful ones. It is that time of month so I wonder if that’s why I have it and not so much bc of the product. Curious your thoughts 😊 Update: I had about 3 come up at once on my chin 😢 deep whiteheads. I’m ovulating and I guess that could be the cause and not so much the tallow. I’m not sure /:

I'm currently trying tallow with a little bit of white birch essential oil in it as a deodorant, and so far it's working very well! I've tried a few things on my quest for a perfect natural deodorant (which I think a lot of people seem to end up doing on this sort of journey - it's something of a quest lol!) I did try plain coconut oil under my arms which also worked pretty well but not as good as the tallow seems to be performing. I tried the coconut mixed with some arrowroot and some essential oils, but that was less effective than the plain coconut on its own. I also tried a mixture of coconut, arrowroot and diatomaceous earth & essential oil but that was even less effective still and just put brown smears under my arms lol! I'm thrilled so far though with the tallow and will try it with other essential oils too. I'm using tallow pretty much completely in my body and hair care routine now - tallow soap (which also serves as a shampoo bar), tallow body balm, and I intend to use it in a hair mask/oil I want to make too. The only thing I don't use it for regularly is as a facial moisturizer, for which I've found a simple lard-based cream more effective (may still use a little tallow as a facial balm though in winter - will see what happens.) My skin is the best its been in years, and for so much less money! I'm curious as to wether grass fed butter can be useful in skin and hair care too, as this was a traditional hair treatment in ancient times for the people of northern Europe according to the Romans, and so this may be my next project! Thanks for this wonderfully informative video anyway!
@BumblebeeApothecary5 жыл бұрын
Wow, thanks for sharing your experience! A tallow deodorant is something I want to try to create sometime. That’s neat how well it’s worked for you! OK so I made a sort of hair and skin balm with equal parts of melted tallow and plain unsalted dairy butter, then 1/2 part of olive oil (also added some sage, thyme, carrot seed and lemon essential oils - it smells quite delicious lol!). It cooled to form a nice soft yellow cream which I've tried on my hair as a leave-in treatment on the ends and it made them amazingly soft and my curls very defined! I'll definitely use it again for hair plus am also trialing it on my dry forehead overnight tonight. I've read that dairy butter is used still by some African peoples as a hair treatment (? it's known in Ethiopia), and I'm thinking that it definitely has something about it which is particularly good for hair!

My shaving soap (Stirling Shaving Soap) is tallow based. I hope it is grass fed tallow 🤔
@BumblebeeApothecary4 жыл бұрын
That sounds lovely! Grass fed is the best, but even non grass fed has some great benefits :)

I put tallow in my shea mixture the other day as a experiment and noticed it blended well and is soaked right into my skin. My skin was looking really rugged from being in the sun for work and scabs were all over my face and scales dry spots. In a couple of days it seemed to be healing where it wasn’t with the shea butter alone. I think my face looks brighter and clear than it did a week ago. It made me decide to look up info on more skin care uses for tallow.

Ok. So is the beef fat you use for soap making. Is it the suet, or is it the tallow fat around the rest of the body?
@BumblebeeApothecary4 жыл бұрын
I've used both. The suet is nicest, but either will work for soap.
@deooptimomaximo98434 жыл бұрын
@@BumblebeeApothecary ok thanks. I tried your recipe without suet and used franksense essential oil. It turned out far better than I hoped and normally I have really oily skin but its actually becoming softer and not oily. I'm happily surprised. Thanks a bunch for your video and recipe.

Hello, I have a very sensitive skin and want to use something that is free of any lab made ingredients. I have some questions: 1. Do you ship to Asian countries like India. 2. Can I use it on my whole body 3. What consistency you suggest for me. Whipped or some other form Thanks beautiful 🙂
@BumblebeeApothecary4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I do ship internationally, and you can use tallow balm anywhere on your body. I personally like the whipped. :)

What's the difference between Tallow & Butter ? 🧐
@BumblebeeApothecary3 жыл бұрын
Tallow is rendered beef fat, and butter comes from the fat in milk :)

Have you tried tallow for skin? What did you think?

Today was my third day using it as a deodorant. I had been using piper wai for a few years but my body got used to it and quit working, so I stunk. I had tried other natural deodorants but found out I have sensitivity to baking soda and arrowroot powder. Today is the first day in a long time I haven't come home from work with smelly armpits. Look forward to finding more and more uses for it!

Wow, this is so neat! I haven't tried it as a deodorant yet, but you have me very interested! Thanks for sharing this idea - I'll definitely be looking into it 😊@@stickfigureslauralee
@stickfigureslauralee5 жыл бұрын
I'd definitely be sure to add some essential oils to it to help and I currently apply 2x a day but should be able to reduce to once a day (and maybe every other) in a couple of weeks from what I've read.

How long have you been using it? I want to mix it with some plant based oils and butters, cause i have this fear that tallow could cause acne or be comedogenic... but i will try it out cause i'll buy it tomorrow!

Just buy lard its amazing.
@BumblebeeApothecary4 жыл бұрын
Lard is great as well, but it mostly just has vitamin D. Tallow has a lot more vitamins and other nutrients than lard :)

In my search for all natural soothing moisturizer I stumbled across Grass fed whipped tallow on ETSY and am so GLAD I DID! From the moment i applied it my 58yrs old dry irritated facial skin it literally transformed my skin into smooth, supple, calmed skin. Went on smooth and soaked right in leaving a matte finish..I put it on before bed and woke up for the first time in a long time VERY HAPPY with what i saw in the mirror…less eye wrinkles, skin looked supple, dry patches and red areas GONE! Literally a miracle worker on my skin. Also using tallow on the cracking dry skin around my fingernails and it literally made the layers of peeling skin lay flat and heal over night! BEST EVER!! I went back to esty and STOCKED UP!!
