Even though the science of these types of discussions is beyond me, I find them fascinating. This gentleman is blessed to be in his field of study and see all these things! And I appreciate how Dr. Ross always brings things back to the Bible and the glory of Jesus Christ.

Profound - to ask the question: why do some Christians believe God is more glorified when acting rapidly rather than incrementally? In my life, most growth is incremental.

The negative influence of the YEC people on Christians and non-Christians is a serious matter. I hope these experts will provide more of the refutation of YEC claims out of biblical literalism.
@Chazd1949

Reasons to Believe also espouses a literal interpretation of Genesis 1, but not the narrow literal 24-hour, six consecutive days used by YECs. The Hebrew word "yom" (for day) in Genesis 1 can include three other literal interpretations including: the daytime hours only, any part of a day (or night), or an indefinite period of time. I suggest Dr. Ross's book, "Navigating Genesis" for a detailed explanation and wider Biblical support for the indefinite period of time interpretation for this passage.

I love how all of us non scholars are arguing with scholars.

True, however, many “scholars” are nothing more than atheism provers. They will look at practically undeniable evidence of something and disagree with it simply and only because it gives support to a doctrine from the Bible or helps prove the existence of God. These people have to be debated because they spew forth poison to the masses and give them another reason not to believe

Bereshit Elohim bara shamayim et eres (Gen 1:1). People don’t realize the importance of the untranslated Aleph Tav right in the middle of this opening verse of the Bible. The first and the last, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega ( the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew Aleph Tav). In the beginning was the Word ( John 1:1). Study ‘ thousand years’ in scripture ( from Psa 90:4 to Rev 20:7). In particular 2Pe 3:8 ( one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years as one day). The seven days are as the seven steps of Jacob’s ladder, the seven feasts. The 7th day ( rest) corresponds to the 7th feast ( tabernacle), and the 7th bowl, the completion of God’s plan in man, the Christ. The plan for every human being : Sonship. To sit at the table with the Father at his right hand, as a King and Priest in the order of Melchizedek. ✝️💗Amen

In another video I heard at stated that the universe is 13+ billion years old, and it was stated with certainty. What is the James Webb Telescope doing to that "certain" age of the universe. And If God is creator of the universe whether young or old, what did it look like 1 minute or even 1/1,000,000,000,000,000 of a second after He created it. Would that appearance fit into the Genesis account of creation?

Just keep listening to Hugh's teachings and he will explain it all. I've been following him for several years and he has made the answer to this question clear to me.... But I certainly can't explain it here 😂

Dr. John C. Mather is a Senior Astrophysicist in the Observational Cosmology Laboratory located at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md. He is also the Senior Project Scientist on the James Webb Space Telescope. Quote, “COBE, WMAP, and Planck all saw further back than JWST, though it's true that JWST will see farther back than Hubble. JWST was designed not to see the beginnings of the universe, but to see a period of the universe's history that we have not yet seen before. Specifically we want to see the first objects that formed as the universe cooled down after the Big Bang.” - Dr. John Mather "Click bait" does not equate to facts. Don't listen to gossip and rumors from fools, the JWST is not debunking the Big Bang. By using instruments we can now "see" back to ~T = 1 x 10 -43 (or -46?) of a second.

Ancients we’re calculating time by the Moon, Sun and other stars more than 40,000 years ago. Where do theses people come from talking about the 1700’s and got the nerve to repeat nonsense?
@MutsPub
@MutsPub Жыл бұрын
Talk about posting nonsense! 1) There are artifacts from humans from ~40000 years ago. However, there is no evidence of there method of time calculations. 2) You did not listen to what was stated about the 1700's and post a snide comment out of ignorance, or perhaps an agenda?

“Science” sees nothing. People do. And… people…with minds… “do” science. Some scientists see God. Others don’t. So your comment fails out of the gate. Also: I hope you can see that your comment about science (and God) is NOT a scientific statement. And you can’t empirically test that in a lab. You infer your conclusion, the same as scientists infer their conclusions based on the data, with some seeing God and others missing God. Based on your comment, I’d guess you aren’t even a scientist… certainly not a PhD. (Maybe a few undergrad classes?). And certainly, you’re not expert in “all of the sciences” as you imply… and you certainly have no qualification or know the data in depth that could make you qualified to make a statement as you do. Pretty simple.
