Does Sidechain Tool's *Send* mode works well when only ducking the low-end? Filtering typically shifts phase, so cancelling of the original sound via send wouldn't normally work. But maybe there's some clever compensation used?
@HOLLASOUNDS6 ай бұрын
Send the signal out of the side chain to a compressor input or to a EQ and then it will duck.
@Artek6046 ай бұрын
@@HOLLASOUNDSI don't think you understand how send mode works... It plays the signal that's sent to it with a gain proportional to send amount and IN OPPOSITE PHASE to cancel out the original sound. For this to work, the return signal needs to be audio-rate accurate. My concern is that if the return is e.g. low passed to only affect the bass, then low pass filters always shift phase a bit, thus disturbing the accuracy. I was wondering if they took that into account in any way.
