almost all heavy attack in the game is more then 500ms so if they want to parry your charged heavy just soft faint into hug because your hug got hyper armor in 500ms and you need to press heavy to parry right ? soo yeah this is going to be great

JKTheGreat that’s why I don’t play them. Fist time as orochi I went 15:1 and gained 10 levels in 1 game. This was from light spam only. Afterward I decided that he wasn’t just extremely powerful, but just not fun to play. 0 skill required.

The headbutt looks bad, the charged heavy demon's embrace is a 33/33/33. You can either try to parry or dodge. Will he let the unblockable go, will he demon's embrace or cancel gb?

Joob when people say 50/50, they are wrong. They don't count the player's thoughts. Look at highlander. He can kick, or kick=>grab. A person who doesn't like that move will just do the kick, so it's a 100%. Another will just do the soft feint so another 100%. Some will consider that the opponent will think that if you do a kick grab first, the next one will be a plain kick to mess you up. Some others will consider than you'll do it twice, then do a kick only. It's predictions based on your opponent's thinking about your thinking.

This rework doesnt look that crazy to be honest, everything he has got looks very reactable. So high risk high reward basically. (Kinda like Raider, everything Raider has is easy to react but if he hits you he hits hard) In order to beat Shugokis unblockable into demon embrace faint you just have to wait a little bit and watch the animations. Both animations are very easy to recognize (thats the reason why conqs shield bash is so stong due to it having no startup animation) And even if you fall for the unblockable faint, it seems like you still have enough time to cancel your attack to dodge. But I might be comletely wrong, after all I havent played against him yet :D

its one of those things right? u have to play smart like when fighting most characters. Not only do u have to worry about the soft feint. a shugo may hardfeint into a gb with the new charge heavy canceling. so u have to read whether or not the shugo will let the heavy go and try and parry it, soft feint into demons embrace and dodge it, or hardfeint into gb and reverse it. oooh as a shugo main. this is gonna be good.

"a shugo may hardfeint into a gb with the new charge heavy canceling." Due to the softfaint looking reactable you wont be forced to dodge on prediction, (like for example Wardens shoulder bash or Highlanders Kick into grab) but rather on reaction. So if the shugo decides to faint into GB you can just counter gb it. I am not saying the rework is bad or useless, in fact I am sure that I am going to get hit by his demons embrace countless times after the rework. All I am saying is that is isnt as ridiculous as people may think it is.

You can still feint the unblockable heavy into a light or continue with another hyper heavy if the person is thirsty for a light parry (pretty much as i do with og shugoki), so... if the person goes for parry, gibem the hug, if they don’t, throw the unblock, if they react to both, guard break, and if they can also react to guardbreak, then just keep going with the sequence, they are eventually going to miss something or do other things besides staring contest (the second part might not be 100% accurate considering the amount of assholes that i met so far, but the first one is true, unless you’re garbage or your opponent is a machine or a living god, both not usually being the case)

@@geraudasso4732 Sure you could do that, but you have to keep in mind that as soon as you throw out the demons embrace and your oponent reacts to it you get punished for that (Not sure if you can get a GB of it) And if you dont throw it out it is basically unblockable into gb or into light, so exactly the same as shugoki is right now before his rework.

what he needed was new moves, and more chains. Maybe reworking some of his moves (zone). But they took all that defined shugo, butchered it, didn't give him anything new and just tossed this weird abomination. The only thing that changes is that shugo will now be easier to kill, since his passive armor is gone. The fight will still be a staring and patience contest since he has no openers. Throwing headbutt is pointless just like punch from centurion.

Demon embrace 25 instead of 40, oni charge is prolly still useless. Run attack is a bit slower then wardens valiant charge so assassins can deflect it and start to punish him cause hyper armor is per move. No double light combo. making dodge attacks even more viable against shugoki since his head bud is centurion slow, and if you get hit with the dodge attack like from orochi he goes right into combo cuz hyper armor is gone... More of a Nerf then rework

It's not a nerf you bellend. Demon's Embrace may do less damage, but wanna know what else it can do? Land on an opponent. Shugoki can actually use attacks and not instantly lose to turtling now. Also, Dodge Attacks? If your Opener gets Dodged, you can use a Hyper Armor Heavy Finisher to beat the Dodge Attack. It'll trade, and Shugoki has more health and does more damage than basically all other heroes, certainly does more than Dodge attacks, so that means Shugoki wins that exchange. The run attack's only purpose is to attack an opponent that's fleeing. Against an opponent standing to fight you, it went from useless to useless. And you conveniently ignore his buffed Zone, Lights, and ability to Charge and Feint Unblockables while also losing less stamina for it. If anything he already had was good enough to keep, why is he abjectly nonviable in any game mode right now? I'm half convinced your bullshiting, but just in case you're not.

as a shagoki main i am pleased with many things except the part when they remove the hyper stance

they still need to specify about Shugoki new armor, does it still block "displacement" abilities? currently Shugoki armor is more like hyper armor compared to berserker super armor. "displacement" attack like shove and shield bash cannot interrupt shugoki, so what will happen to the new shugoki armor? will it be nerfed down to regular super armor?

For the coming lawbringer rework I hope they keep and improve his shove, but make shove on block a deflect that if successful guarantees a light, to make it skill based and keep it from being "abused". And of course new chains! Loving the new improvements and I was surprised to see warlord buffs so soon! Not a full rework but a beautiful start.
