Jaclyn Bazsika , what a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it with us all. My parents got married back in 1947 when she was 14,( She lied about her age.) and He was 18, and were married for 56 years when she passed away from COPD. in 2003. My dad has never stoped missing or loving her, and her parent's said it wouldn't last.

I had that kind of love for 26 years. Everyone was against us getting married, but we proved them all wrong. He died of cancer almost 5 years ago but I still miss him, and I still love him. At almost 71, it's too late to start a second chapter. But I will make the best of the rest of the time God gives me. And be grateful.

For those who may not be aware, the old man is Edward Asner. He was an "A-List" actor in television from the 1960's on. He has credits from shows like The Virginian, Route 66, the original Mission: Impossible, but he is more well known as "Lou Grant" the station manager from the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and his own series "Lou Grant". He's won 6 Emmy awards and been nominated for 20 others. I LOVE that Reba asked him to do this video! He's 91 and he still has projects in the works!

*Somebody's Chelsea lyrics* Met an old man yesterday Next to me on a westbound plane He said "I was married sixty years I swear it feels like she's still here." Then he took out a picture Staring at that black and white The tears filled up in his eyes I said "You were a lucky man." He said "I feel like I still am." When he told me her name I heard myself say I wanna be Somebody's Chelsea Somebody's world Somebody's day and night One and only girl A part of a love story That never has an end You know that's what every woman wants to be Somebody's Chelsea He made me laugh when he talked about Their first date and her father's doubts He said "Even as her hair turned gray, She still took my breath away." And that it never changed with time That's when I closed my eyes I wanna be Somebody's Chelsea Somebody's world Somebody's day and night One and only girl A part of a love story That never has an end You know that's what every woman wants to be Somebody's Chelsea And when we finally said goodbye I hugged him and said "I'll never forget How you showed me what it means" To be Somebody's Chelsea Somebody's world Somebody's day and night One and only girl A part of a love story That never has an end You know that's what every woman wants to be And I wanna be Somebody's Chelsea Somebody's Chelsea Somebody's Chelsea Somebody's Chelsea

I thank God for my family. He walked out daughter down the aisle a month ago. Watching my daughter wear the dress I wore getting married to the man walking her down the aisle was a dream. Damn near instantly into tears. Reminds me of my grandpaw and grandmaw. They where the very meaning of what it means to love another person. He always said the greatest gift a man can give to his children and grand children is to love their mother/grand mother with all their heart. And if he wasn't so damn right, everyday I live I wish I could have that level of love and care for another human being. To have the love of a woman who would do the same for me just because I am me and she is her. I want this more than anything in the world, even with hurt and pain of loss eventually. I would just love to live one minute in total happiness like them. They are finally reunited, poor man lasted almost 10 years after my grandmother passed and lived every day loving her past that. He held on as long as he could even though every second without my grandmother was like a stab in the heart. But he did it for us to keep living as long as he could because he knew that is what she wanted. I know he is so happy now they are together once more.

I met a wonderful couple. The Ellsworths. Even on days she didn’t recognize him, he acted like they had just met and he would wheel her out of her room to sit near a picture window and they would fall asleep. She always fell asleep first, he would hold her hand. Six days after she passed, he passed in his sleep. His heart just stopped beating. This song made me think of how he used to tell me stories about her when she was younger and how they never failed to fall in love with each other over and over the duration of their 50+ years together.

My Mom loved my Dad deeper than anyone knows, she suffered unimaginable pain, but she stayed with him to the end. She would always t ell us no matter what stand by your man. After seeing him do things he never should of done, most of us were determined We weren't going to go through what Our Mother went through. Even after he passed, she never said a bad word about him or the heartache he caused her. Many may not agree, but that's true love. Unfortunately when She passed, she never knew how much she meant to her Children, she was happy to know she was going to see him again.

He's probably one of those charmers for whom a woman will overlook a less handsome but truly wonderful man, only to be revealed by time as a controlling, abusive bastard. This is such a beautiful, heartfelt song. Brings me to tears every time. Reminds me of my grandparents. They loved each other so much and were married young until my late grandfather died of cancer in my grandmother's arms telling her he loved her. She died 16 years later of Leukemia and Alzheimer's wanting to be with him. Wish I had a love like that. Miss and love them so much.

That’s all just about every woman wants. Exspially when you’ve lost your daddy and all most all you’re brothers. Someone u can trust and be there for you too run too. My sons are very special in my life . But that’s a different kind of love and trust. Yes I know God comes first. But it’s nice too have that special man in your life too do things and talk too. ❤️

I love this song. I've only been married for 38 wonderful years and I found my Chelsea. I listen to this song everyday to remind me how lucky I am. I write every year on our anniversary "Couldn't live without you and wouldn't want too".

This was my Nanny and Papa. My Papa loved my Nanny more than almost anything, and Papa stayed with us for 2 years after Nanny passed from 11 years of dementia, and he constantly said how much he missed her and loved her. I miss them both so much.
