This song rings especially true for me because my man and I grew up 5 blocks from each other. We lived on the same street for almost 10 years and never even noticed one another, went to the same places, ate at the same restaurants, shopped at the same stores... It wasn't until years later when a friend of mine set me up on my first blind date that I met him and he me, and we immediately connected. Love really is sometimes right there in front of your face the entire time...

This song is special. It doesn't demean the reality of singleness, instead it honors the idea of waiting yet watching with a discerning eye. I've been looking for 10 years since my divorce and I have to say the pickings out there are just thin. Unfortunatly I'm now 41 and I'm just giving up. Being alone is not so bad cause I'm not lonely I got a great son and my mom is here living with me and I got great friends.
