Vice News tried to break down what The Empire did in India in under 6 minutes. This is only 5%, maybe 1%, of what the Empire did or in India. Well it is true that India was the Largest Economy in the World (30% of world GDP) from maybe like the 4th Century BC up until like the 15th Century, approximately 2100 years, I am not sure about the exact dates. Eventually to be replaced by China which became the largest economy in the World accounting for 30% of Global GDP. And India moving down to 2nd place with 25% of Global GDP. Since there is no actual verifiable records of the GDP's of nations during those times. Truth be told, both India and China were colonized and drained of our resources. The British for India to be precise and various European powers in the case of China, after Chinese defeat in the Opium War. But the British did more than loot/plunder India. And destroy our economy, create religious fault lines, worsen the outcome of famines, massacre people, pass laws which were discriminatory, impose huge taxes on the Indian people. They did a lot of other things too. Although today's Brits cannot be held accountable for the actions of the British Empire decades back. The Brits of today shouldn't be naïve and ignore history. Hi rebecca😘, plz don't feel bad or embarrassed about what Britishers did, it's not ur fault. I want to tell u that there were so many good people also from Britain who helped Indians. Not everybody is all alike. I don't know who recommended this video to u but I want to say this video is biased and only bad things about British people were told in it and the truth is England helped India so much even at the time of war with china in 1962, England and USA came to help and supported India. We love u😘 and we love England too, plz don't feel bad becoz of some stupid video. Trust me even if the whole world comes against England, Modi ji and the whole of India will come to help 😊😘. This film is laughable. This is economically illiterate nonsense. I have spent time in India and helped develop a coal mine and power station. Indian coal has always been low-quality crap, it is mostly rock. It is not worth transporting very far because its calorific value is so low. Britain was not transporting Indian coal to the UK. Britain had its own coal. There is also much better coal in Australia and South Africa, but Britain was not importing coal from anywhere. Indian cotton was also of poor quality. The textile mills preferred to buy cotton from the US. When the American Civil War broke out, 400,000 textile workers in the north of England were out of a job. Partition was not a British idea, they advised against it. The Muslims wanted an independent country. The accounts of East India Company are still available it was listed on the London stock exchange. It did not make $45 trillion in profits.

Sister just imagine the value of 45 trillion and deaths of above 50 million people because of racism and damn there was no other reasons, don't be rude but in a survey it's proved that if Britain want to pay back(it's never gonna happen) that much amount then it will take at around 117years, however it's not yours fault and recently Britain's started supporting India in UN and it's maybe a relief.
