I knew Rebecca as Karma, it breaks my heart to see her like this. I was homeless with her in Venice beach and I remember holding her while she was crying. She’s had a hard life, I just hope she can get help some day

Its hard. I had a bad falling out with my crack head brother. He said real ugly things to me and it made it so easy to let him go. Wks past and he messaged he was hungry. I asked where I can have food delivered and he said there's no address bc he had been sleeping on the streets. I was still heartless but I agreed to take him food on my lunch break. I broke down when I saw him. The drugs made this 40 yr old man look like a thin little boy. I couldn't go back to work knowing he didn't have a place to sleep. I got him a month at a hotel paid and when I say I went through hell and back to get him sober again, would be an understatement. It was brutal. He finally got clean, moved to a diff state and has a great gf. Sometimes, they need that 1 person to not give up, even though they've given up. That 1 person can always make a difference.

This was 2 or 3 years ago, and Rebecca is still on the streets. 😥😥 She has SO much Potential! I only became familiar with Rebecca this year. I think about her her when I'm not watching KZbin. Mark, you have been so supportive of trying to help Rebecca, help herself. I thought meeting Cosmo, would have "woke" her up, and learn that sobriety CAN be achieved. You have gone above, and beyond what most people would have done and continue to do with your outreach. You are an AMAZING person for what you do, not only for Rebecca, but for others, too. Thank you for sharing Rebecca, and others with us, Mark! 😊😊😊

@michellecook-hill431 Stop with the phony 'good vibes'. It only looks like 'art' because you're not the homeless addict being broadcast onto screens worldwide. People watch these channels in fascination, just like watching the scenes of staving children from other countries - from the comfort of their home while munching. It doesn't matter if you 'wish them well' or 'send positivity' if that's the only thing you're going to do. If you care, then you should be out there yourself, sharing a meal and a conversation. There is nothing wrong with helping those in need. But when a person feels the need to document their 'kindness' and then post it - the motives become pretty clear. People aren't 'projects', and their suffering shouldn't be used as fodder for entertainment

She loves her fashion daaaarling. 💃 I pray that she finds her way home, and by home I mean back to her former self without all of the drugs and bad experiences she has had. I've seen how Mark has helped people he has interviewed and I truly hope that one day we will see Rebecca clean and off the streets. Mark you are a wonderful man and I send you so much love for doing everything you can to help people. @@wesleyAlan9179 it's profitable for Rebecca to avail herself to Mark. She made that apparent at the end of the interview, that she abruptly ended. When I saw my first video of Rebecca I was taken by her Innocence but she's not really innocent and the reason she moves around the city so much is probably because she's running from petty crimes she's committed. I lived in a city with a huge homeless population. Many homeless stake out a territory they stay in. They become part of the local color. Many local residents and businesses look out for them. But the transient part of the homeless community are more mobile because they become known for their petty property crimes, hence they move around to avoid the homeless they've ripped off or to avoid being picked up by the police for a property crime. There's little to no trustworthiness on the streets. Also, the young homeless tend to create families and they can be quite ruthless even violent, especially to older homeless people.

I met Rebecca about a year ago when she was in Canada. I was in the hospital visiting someone, and she was in the waiting room in the ER chatting me up, she was so kind and warm. Or is it a sneak peak of what life could have been like, if I’d continued down a road I was just lucky to not travel far on. Whatever the reason, what Mark does is really beautiful but most of all it is so powerful. I hope Rebecca can live her best life one day soon.

As much as I appreciate Mark's work and though I love Albinoni's adagio, I thought the use of the music to add emphasis to Rebecca's downfall is somewhat unnecessary and rather kitsch. In my opinion, he should leave that to Visconti. I prefer Mark's usual raw minimalism that leaves silence and people speak. Good you liked it though.

I loved seeing exactly how joyful Rebecca got at the sight of Mark. Mark, thank you for being a light for those who often experience nothing but darkness. My gratitude for what you do comes from my own experience of living in that black hole, even now coming up on my 6th anniversary of sobriety, it never goes away and it just follows closely beside me waiting for the moment that I will give up and invite it cover me and swallow again. Treatment for addiction is a medical and mental necessity for the lifetime of an addict and should not be discontinued at anytime because treatment of an addict to live in sobriety is just as important as the insulin that a diabetic must have daily. Thanks Mark and to the extended crew that I know must be there in the background, you all must be amazing people to recognize that these people are worthy of help and even just the respect they receive while in your presence as a normal human being even if just for a short period of time.

@@miss.l.1563 I watched the same one you apparently did but I think we saw different things. I saw Rebecca, a regular on @softwhiteunderbelly, a person that so many of us are rooting for, a human being who has had too much heartache in their relatively short life but has more charisma and potential than many of the vacuous insta "celebrities" that we're supposed to be in awe of. Rebecca identifies as a female, if by using the pronouns she prefers she feels better, respected or even just seen, then that's a good thing, no? Hope that helps you understand.

I think about Rebecca often and I’m so sad to see her so down. She is such an amazing person, I wonder if this talk of ‘potential’ has followed her for a long time and is part of the problem. The only potential she should be concerned with is her potential for happiness, safety, and security, whatever that looks like for her. If she can be safe at home with her mom, I really really hope she can get there soon.
