These were actually the First two Ramones songs I ever heard after I went off to college in 1980. I grew up in a town where the radio stations didn't start playing The Ramones until after three of them had died.

Congratulations on the start of summer! On the last day of spring, May 31, 19 years ago, a new Supernova was born named Diana, an extraordinary singer with a unique voice.) ❤️❤️❤️ We fans of Diana continue to congratulate Diana and wish that all people on Earth who appreciate good vocals would hear her unique voice.🎉🎉🎉 Please react to Diana Ankudinova ! Meet the singer with the most unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones), KZbinrs call her the goosebump queen. "Together with her tessitura, it identifies her potential voice type as dramatic contralto, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice." (Wikipedia about Diana). KZbinrs from all over the world are very fond of making reactions to Diana and now Diana has more than 12 thousand such reactions.

What are looking for is something to tug on your heartstrings. Try 'Something to Believe In', 'Howling at the Moon', or 'Poison Heart'. Or perhaps' I Wanna Live' that is a different groove from their usual songs. 'Pet Cemetery' has some nice harmonies. Or perhaps 'Chasing the Night' to get you psyched for the weekend.

Okay, I don't see many coments answering your question by the end of the video, and as far as I checked you haven't reacted to Ramones again, so I'll give you a small list of songs I can't imagine someone not loving: - Poison Heart - Pet Sematary - Bonzo Goes to Bitburg (My Brain is Hanging Upside Down) - Needles & Pins - Howling at the Moon (Sha-La-La) - I Believe in Miracles - We Want the Airwaves Be sure you listen to either the studio version or the official videoclip, as they tend to speedrun their songs in live concerts because... They're the Ramones.

You have to grasp and understand the evolution and purpose of punk rock at the time. It was rebelling against the popular music of the day. Simple, quick songs, repetitive lyrics, and fast, hard hitting beats with minimal chords. It basically starts with original rock & roll, which evolved into 60s "garage bands", then glam rock of the early 70s, and finally, punk rock. A LOT of modern music and artists wouldn't exist without the influence of punk.

The Ramones were diametrically opposite of the prog rockers of the mid-70s (like Yes; Emerson, Lake, and Palmer; early Genesis, etc.) with their ponderous, repetitive, and extremely long compositions (that were platforms for demonstrating musicianship and vocal range). The Ramones learned from those before them (Lou Reed, the Modern Lovers, Iggy & the Stooges, the Troggs, the Kinks) and created the stripped down, close-to-the-street garage sound that became punk. They weren't the best punk band, but as much as any one act, they invented the dynamic. You might love "Blitzkrieg Bop." Cheers!

Absolutely agree. Leave Home, the 2nd LP is the killer Ramones studio release from January 1977, that album has the Ramones sound like no other release thanks to producer Tony Bongiovi, even better than the 1st LP, 1976 and Rocket To Russia, November 1977. And 1976-77 are also their most energetic and fluid live shows. "It's Alive" is the show to listen to from London, December 31, 1977. After Road To Ruin in 1978, they ran out of gas. But 1976-77 is what you need to focus on. You can hear and feel the difference between the two periods before and after 1978.

The Ramones were among the founding fathers of American punk rock. That said, yes, many of their songs sound similar. For something different you might try Bonzo Goes to Bitberg about Ronald Reagan's trip to Germany and Pet Semetary written for the original movie bases on the Stephen King book. By the way, King is a huge Ramones fan. Another Ramones' song is also on the movie's soundtrack, Sheena Is A Punk Rocker. Bye.

Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friend Rebeka!! ...Would you like to be part of the music history of this world, reacting to who is possibly the best singer in history and at the same time reach 35,000 subscribers very soon?...Well here you have your best gift of your life!!....Today it is very rare to find reactors like you who have never reacted to the best singer in the world, Dimash Kudaibergen, a young singer who handle 7 octaves and 3 semitones of vocal range (An alien) ...I am going to dare to recommend that you meet Dimash, because when you do it for the first time, your life as reactor will change forever ....For example, the number of views that you have today, it will increase by 300% in a matter of a few hours and you will get a lot of new subscribers...But when you react to Dimash, don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did Dimash from the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one...And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they deceived him and treated him very badly.!...Your life will never be the same again, after reacting for the first time to Dimash...And your first reaction to Dimash will be something very special, so I recommend that you do the best job of your life as a reactor, because that first video will be seen by thousands of people around the world, maybe millions...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S. Live 2017.....kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHW7ZHmeot6Bl8U

If you don't like it its ok, but let me mention few things... “I wouldn't exist as a singer without Joey Ramone. Blame him.” -Bono (U2) "The Ramones are in my opinion the greatest American rock band. For over two decades they remained true to everything that rock 'n' roll needs to be - loud, fast and stripped down to the core" -Rob Zombie “They're crazy. That is without a doubt, the most fantastic thing you've ever played for me, bar none. It makes everybody else look so bullshit and wimpy - Patti Smith and me included, just wow. Everybody else looks like they're really old-fashioned.” -Lou Reed "If it wasn't for that particular style of guitar playing and the speeding up of the beats. Metallica would not sound like we do today. Plus, they also showed me how cool one could look in just a leather jacket and denim." -Kirk Hammett (Metallica) "I had a life-altering experience. These shows ignited something inside of me that led me to write all those songs for the first Go-Go's record. And to this day, when I hear Joey singing a Ramones song, I am transported to an altered state." -Charlotte Caffey (Go-Go's) When I bought the Ramones first album on import, I was enraged with jealousy because I felt they had booted the Dolls off the map. I was 100% wrong. Three days after writing that Ramones piece, I realized that my love for the Ramones would out-live time itself. And it shall. Well, it virtually has already. If the Ramones were alive today, they’d be the biggest band in the world. It takes the world 30 years to catch on, doesn’t it? -Morrissey “Dude, that's the best record ever. I learned how to play guitar by listening to Road To Ruin.” -Slash (Guns n Roses) “The first song that really hit me like a hammer when I first heard, it was so different, so original, was a Ramones’, “Blitzkrieg Bop”.” -Paul Di Anno (Iron Maiden) My last unrealized cover band would be to play bass in a Ramones tribute band... ONE TWO THREE FOUR!!! -Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) “Members of grunge bands, including Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, often cited the Ramones as among their chief inspirations.” -David Moskowitz, doctorate in Musicology from the University of Kansas, “The 100 Greatest Bands of All Time: A Guide to the Legends Who Rocked the World” “I'd never heard of the Ramones but he put it on and I just loved it immediately. I could pick up a guitar and play every one of those songs all the way through right now.” -Paul Gilbert (During many interviews, Paul Gilbert stated that his style was influenced by a wide array of artists. Some of the people that influenced him include Johnny Ramone) What I found in a downtown record shop blew me away; the first Ramones LP, imaginatively titled 'The Ramones' this collection of explosive 3 minute power pop songs changed the face of music. What I loved about them was the way they counted off songs by yelling; '1,2,3,4' then pausing for 2 seconds before launching into the track, I used to wonder why they did it because surely by pausing they'd lose the momentum which was the whole point of counting down into a song, but when I started drumming I realized it was pure genius, most bands aren't even good enough to launch right in after the count of 4 and so by pausing after the countdown they had time to get it together." "The other great thing about the Ramones was the way they looked, black leather and sunglasses was the epitome of cool for high school kid not to mention future punk rock drummers and I'm not talking about me but Don Bowls of The Germs. One of the tracks on The Ramones first album 'I Wanna Sniff Some Glue' inspired the British Fanzine 'Sniffin Glue' which was started by Mark P and Danny Baker. It's their influence which sticks to this day, Nirvana opened for them in Belgium in 1991 when we were first on the bill and they were last. I can remember not being able to wait to get home just so I could tell everyone that we played on the same bill as The Ramones." -Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) “The Ramones ... they were maybe one of the greatest American rock bands ever.” -Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) “New York City has given us a lot of things but the best thing it ever gave us was a punk rock group called the Ramones without whom a lot of people would never gotten started, certainly us.” -Bono (U2) “…the Ramones gave us everything; they saved rock and roll, modeled DIY ethics, and addressed our deepest collective traumas, from the personal to the historical.” -Dr. Donna Gaines, Sociologist

“I was at college when an advance copy of Ramones came into one of the local record stores. I remember being in there when the guy put it on, and just being floored by how amazing it sounded. So I went back a week later and was first in line when it went on sale. I swear to God I listened to that record five times a day. I’d get up in the morning and blast it before I went to class. We’d get back in the afternoon and I’d blast it again. Then we’d go to the clubs and everyone would come back around midnight, we’d play it another three times, and everybody was just bouncing off the walls. We have a bunch of Ramones albums back stage at Garbage shows, and two weeks ago I cranked this one up before the show and it sounded fucking amazing. That’s the Ramones: just turn it up, keep going up.” -Butch Vig (Garbage) “All through my life, I’ve been able to find new things in the Ramones’ music, in what Johnny played. When we were writing Californication, I was particularly obsessed with Johnny’s playing; every day I would play with Ramones songs.” -John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) “Ramones music has a Pavlovian effect on me - the song starts, and the world blurs around the sound.” -Henry Rollins (Black Flag) “He [Joey Ramone] was the best person, a terrific artist, a wonderful friend, and a huge influence on my music and career." -Joan Jett “I will absolutely say that Johnny Ramone was a huge influence on me. I'm a giant Ramones fan.” -Scott Ian (Anthrax) “When I moved down here and Guns formed, and I realized I was going to be a bass player, it was definitely a mix between Dee Dee Ramone and Randy Rampage of DOA, who just passed. Add some Cameo in there and you’re good to go. … Johnny was a deity, a god. I don’t know if I wanted to meet him - it’s Johnny Ramone.” -Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) “I didn't discover the Ramones until much later in daily life, for whatever reason. We actually played a show of course the Ramones in the late middle ’80s, I wanna say interested in Finland, and that was an eye-opener for me, just do to see how beloved they were in the world. But I didn’t fully comprehend the Ramones until much later in daily life. And John was far again tuned in to what they had brought to the world, and ended up becoming quite close of course Johnny Ramone before he passed. So that was a very specially very necessary time of time for our contain, when I got to listen to record after a time record by the Ramones, and really discover who they were, and what great songwriters they were, and what a phenomenal singer Joey was. I think he’s one of the great rock singers of all time.” -Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers) “[I’m a] big Ramones fan. We used to go to their gigs and we loved the Ramones.” -Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) "The Ramones were probably the first band that both Adam (Yauch) and I looked at, listened to, loved and thought, 'oh, we could do something like that. We knew we wanted to make short rap songs like the Ramones.” -Mike D (Beastie Boys) “Ramones was a huge inspiration when we started our first band “Grape Rock” in 1977. The unbelievable energy, the amazing guitar sound, the cool lyrics and the added touch of surf music floored us totally. Impossible not to fall in love with.” -Per Gessle (Roxette) “At the time, Kurt [Cobain] had an idea to do a rebellion at a high school. He wanted it to look like Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (1979) by the Ramones, mixed with a movie that Matt Dillon did called Over the Edge (1979). I heard him say that and came up with something very dark and gritty. -Samuel Bayer, director of the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” video “Their album had just come out and it had a huge impact on the metal side of punk. A lot of British bands wanted to sound like that. Everyone sped up afterwards.” -Jean-Jacques Burnel (The Stranglers) “[About musical influence] Stuff like The Ramones and Venom, music with an attitude. Judas Priest was a big one.” -Mille Petrozza (Kreator) “My rhythm gods are Tony Iommi, Rudolf Schenker and Malcolm Young. Guys who just keep it steady. The Misfits too, and even the Ramones with their simplicity. It’s all downpicking! Watch some footage of Johnny Ramone. You’ll go, ‘Wow!’” -James Hetfield (Metallica) “I saw the Ramones in Asbury Park, and we were talking for a while and I was like, 'Man I've got to write the Ramones a song. -Bruce Springsteen “Just my personal opinion: The Ramones rescued and recharged rock & roll. I will never forget the first time I saw them. When they walked onstage and, within 10 seconds, started playing, I thought I was going to explode. The show was the very definition of how powerful true rock music is. I couldn’t understand how they could keep going. It was as full-on a live experience as I have ever had and almost ruined me for going to other shows.” -Henry Rollins (Black Flag) “I was a big fan of the band, I really like the band! I used to play some of their songs when I was in a cover band." -Joe Satriani (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpmYno2Of8mql80) “Me and my two best friends went to see the Ramones in 1979 and two weeks later I was like, ‘We’re starting a band, that’s it.’ We were in the very last row doing Whip-Its [nitrous oxide]. It was fantastic.” -Adam Horovitz (Beastie Boys) “If this is the last show the Ramones do, then it’s an insult to the intelligence of the world and a shame for rock and roll. They are one of the best bands you’ve ever seen. Neglect them at your peril. They will teach you everything about rock and roll. Everything about rock and roll was in those songs, and if they’re gone, then it’s a damn shame.” -Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead) Joe Strummer maintains that his band, the Clash, "would never have happened" if it hadn't been for the Ramones' seminal, self-titled first album: "They started the whole thing." -End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones

In 2002, Eddie Vedder had the honour of inducting the Ramones into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Debut Ramones album was included in Spin magazine's List of Top Ten College Cult Classics (1995), where it was noted that "everything good that's happened to music in the last fourteen years can be directly traced to the Ramones”. In 2005, Ramones first live album "It's Alive", was ranked number 279 in Rock Hard magazine's book The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time. The Ramones ranked number 26 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" and number 17 in VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock". In 2002, the Ramones were ranked the second-greatest band of all time by Spin, trailing only The Beatles. In 2011, the group was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. On November 30, 2003, New York City unveiled a sign designating East 2nd Street at the corner of Bowery as Joey Ramone Place (is the most stolen sign in New York City). The singer lived on East 2nd for a time, and the sign is near the former Bowery site of CBGB. On October 30, 2016, the band had a street in Queens, New York named for them. As of that date, the intersection of 67th Avenue and 110th Street in front of the main entrance of Forest Hills High School was officially named The Ramones Way. In 1996, the Ramones put their hands in cement at the Hollywood RockWalk. Johnny Ramone was named one of Time's "10 Greatest Electric-Guitar Players" in 2003. That same year, he was number 16 on the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list in Rolling Stone. In September 2005, the journalist and radio presenter Flo Hayler opened the Ramones Museum in the Kreuzberg borough of Berlin, Germany. In April 2009, Spin writer Mark Prindle observed that the Ramones had to date "inspired a jaw-dropping 48 (at least!) full-length tribute records." and the first Ramones album's cover become one of the most imitated album covers of all time. “Pretty much every rock 'n' roll group formed since 1976 - or at least every one worth listening to - has been influenced by the Ramones.” -Will Levith, music journalist "it [their debut album] remains one of the few records that changed pop forever." -Jon Savage, music historian “In hindsight, it is easy to take The Ramones for granted because their attitude and their approach have simply become part of the fabric of modern music. And yet, back in ’77, Joey, Johnny, Tommy and Dee Dee changed pretty much everything all while managing to re-state the importance of rock’n’roll itself.” -Phil Alexander (Kerrang!) “The Ramones were one of the most underrated and influential bands of modern times. They are considered the founders of punk rock music, and their sound and influence show up in modern rock and pop songs even to this day. And bands such as Green Day wouldn’t exist without The Ramones. They represented a real, authentic, and gritty version of reality in a time of excess, glitter, and disco.” -Music Nerds HQ "The band's first four albums set the blueprint for punk, especially American punk and hardcore, for the next two decades." -Stephen Thomas Erlewine, critic (AllMusic) "[The Ramones] not only spearheaded the original new wave/punk movement, but also drew the blueprint for subsequent hardcore punk bands". -Robbins and Isler (Trouser Press) "Easily the most influential group of the last 30 years." -Douglas Wolk, author and critic (Slate) "For me, it blows everything else off the radio: it's clean the way the Dolls never were, sprightly the way the Velvets never were, and just plain listenable the way Black Sabbath never was." -Robert Christgau, music journalist and essayist (The Village Voice) "Rock's mainstream didn't know what hit it." -Jeff Tamarkin, author and music historian (AllMusic) “…a rock 'n' roll reactionary's manifesto" ... "a sharp wedge between the stale ends of a contemporary music scene bloated with graying superstars and overripe for takeover." -Gene Sculatti, music journalist and critic who compiled and edited the book The Catalog of Cool "The Ramones were arguably the most influential band ever, despite their lack of mainstream acceptance." -April Long, writer and editor (New Musical Express - NME) “When the Ramones hit the street in 1976 with their self-titled first album, the rock scene, in general, had become somewhat bloated and narcissistic. The Ramones got back to basics: simple, speedy, stripped-down rock and roll songs. Voice, guitar, bass, drums. No makeup, no egos, no light shows, no nonsense. And though the subject matter was sometimes dark, emanating from a sullen adolescent basement of the mind, the group also brought cartoonish fun and high-energy excitement back to rock and roll.” -Rock and Roll Hall of Fame "[It's Alive] is not only the best Ramones live album, but also one of the best and most effective live albums in the rock canon, and every bit as essential as Ramones, Leave Home, or Rocket to Russia." -Mark Deming, critic (AllMusic)

Maybe the reason why you don’t like Ramones is because you are not into punk rock. That’s it. I mean, the quality of Ramones records is very good. Many of their fans knew the lyrics and they sang along during pogo/mosh, because they are like old rock and roll songs from the 50s but faster and dirtier. During the shows they didn’t care about sound quality or if Joe’s voice was clear or not. Ramones fans are very familiar with the lyrics. They knew people wanted the energy to sing along weird lyrics and to smash it in the pogo. Who cares if all songs sound the same. That’s actually the beauty of punk rock that Ramones started.

I used to like you, but you don't like the Ramones. Now you are dead to me. Just kidding. I think you're thinking too much if you want to read into the lyrics. I think it's more a feeling, an energy.
