The originators of Punk Rock, as far as I'm concerned! For all the weirdos and misfits - we salute you, Ramones!

if you want to see another great Ramones live concert, find their show in London UK on New Years Eve 1977

Whoa! Your reaction is excellent! Open ears and mind! I think they're too noisy and fast for most reaction channels. I mean to do the Whole set. I am a huge Ramones fan. People find them bizarre and confusing. Wondering if they were a joke. The singer Joey had OCD and other issues that made him an outcast. Music gave him a life! And he sang funny twisted shit, rapid fire, blended with hopeful and sweet lyrics. Fast as hell. Of course the records are slower and easier to hear the words. KUDOS!!!!

I was there. The festival was called the Us festival (the one syllable word, as in "give it to us" and not two separate letters, as in U.S.) The Ram ones were early on the first day of the 3-day festival. There were a lot of good acts over the course of three days, including The Police, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Talking Heads, The Kinks, The Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, and many more. It was a hot weekend, with temperatures around 110 degrees.

110 degree temperatures and Joey is wearing a long sleeve leather jacket. The most punk thing ever!

What a lineup. But then 1979-82 is in my opinion the best era. Nice one Daniel 👍

I saw them 46 times in concert. The 1979 through 1987 period was phenomenal. With Richie on drums (1983 to 1987) they were completely tight and “spot on”

Amazing. Love the Ramones. Still my fave band. I saw them at Newcastle Uni when they toured England. Those rapid fire songs, had the place jumping. Mosh pit front front to back, everyone bouncing along. I loved every minute. Also the KKK took my baby away, is allegedly about guitarist Johnny nicking vocalists, Joey's girlfriend at the time. Apparently they slyly met up. Johnny eventually married her. Joey and Johnny never got on and even less so after that. Also for a future video. May I suggest ACDC Live at Donnington. It's a long one but 80k there going nuts.

My favorite band. Saw them somewhere between 18-20 times. Standing directly in front of their amps when they step on the gas hit you physically... They had a great soundman and every set I saw ran like a swiss clock. I miss em

I saw the Ramones live in October 1981 at a bar in Ann Arbor, MI. They played just like this. Non stop power and we were exhausted by the time they were done. One of the best shows I ever experienced. BTW, the Ramones were the second band on the first day of the US Festival (Gang of Four was before them). They were there to help get the crowd revved up and kicked ass.

@@AriasandtheNATIONanytime Daniel. I see ETS is only 4k from 100k subs. Celebrations all round. Hopefully spencer will get a po box sorted once he is settled. I've got some more activity books for Alexander because the US postal service seem to have lost 2 parcels I have sent. Should be on the bnb today if you're doing one

I picked up their 1st album for a quarter at a flea market in the early 90's & found one of my favorite bands. Got to see them Lollapalooza '96 and it had the outdoor vibe like this.

The 82 US Festival was a 3 day event held in Devore California about 50 miles east of los angeles in the Inland Empire The Police Headlined Friday and Gang of four opened the show the Ramones were next then i think 6 other bands after the Ramones played I dont remember but i know Oingo Boingo and the English Beat played also. I was 16 and my older sister took me to the festival it was Hot as hell but fun.

Ledgendary, I was 9 years old when Punk exploded over here it took me to 1991 before I saw the Ramones supported by the Damned, a great night. On the note I saw Iggy Pop last week supported by Blondie and Generation Sex (mix of Sex pistols and Gen X, Billy Idol up front). My 6th time seeing Iggy, he is God.

But aren't Debbie and Billy bigger stars than Iggy? That makes me admire the UK. Iggy doesn't get high profile gigs much here in the US of Aggression 🤪🤘

@@mattjohn4731 they were more comercial thats for sure but both were influenced by him, IMO he was far more bigger and more influential. Yeah I think Iggy has been much more appreciated in the UK.

At 23 min, he lost his girlfriend to his guitarist, they later married, the kkk means his git an, because patriot and the singer leftwinged politically, so you see live 82 to enemies on one stage, singer is heartbreaked😮

KKK took my baby away... was reallly about guitarist johnny stole joey the singers girlfriend... After that the group remained in troubled waters during their touring in van/busses... With Deedee quiting 1996 and the drummer marky was middle man between the 2 fronts... of which 1 was rightwing politically also and the other 1 not... Man, could u imagine how they sat cramped up in those vehicles physically...
