I love how live you get a little something that isn't what you get on the radio, they always throw these interludes in and they are badass. I have seen a lot of concerts in my day, but honestly I cannot think of a single one that matches the energy in a DM concert. You come away feeling better about life.
@user-cs4fg1rm5k Жыл бұрын
Great to see you dancing to DM because at their heart, they're a band with groove. Since their early years, they've enjoyed extensive plays in clubs. Clubs used to be where young people would go to meet other young people and socialize in person. There were clubs for everyone.

I saw them, too, in the very early years (around '83 played in a college audorium in Houston) & I go picked to meet them backstage. Dave was those talkative - the others not so much. I stayed & partied with their manager all nigh while the band slept) Cherished moments. (Dave asked if "I always dressed that way")

Hi Rebeka, I'm a great DM fan and have seen them live in the 80's in England. Loved your reaction. I know you love Rock so may I suggest a rock band of 3 sisters from Mexico called The Warning. I just flew to Texas from England to attend 3 shows and they were brilliant. They are best live. Although still at a young age of only 17,20 and 22 they have over 40+ songs recorded and not one bad one. They have opened for The Foo Fighters, Def Lepard, Killers, Aerosmith to name a few. They have just released a new album called ERROR. Every song is fantastic. Start with Choke, Evolve, ERROR, Animosity they are all great rocking songs. I guarantee you will be a fan once you hear these songs and The Warning Army (TWA) will soon follow after one reaction. Be Warned, these 3 sisters are super talented, wtite their own music, play their instruments with great ability and the vocals.......Wow. Hope to see you soon Rebeka. 🤟

I love DM and have followed them from afar since "New Life" came out back in the 80s when I was a kid. I have never see them live though and would have loved to been at this concert or Pasadena or any really. Sadly, with Fletch's untimely departure, I doubt I will ever get to see them now. Also with me suffering with sever anxiety and not liking crowded places puts this right out of reach. What a performance though. Thanks for your video, it was so nice to see someone enjoying it as much as I do. I also like the way this version goes all trancey and jazzy in the middle. Brilliant stuff!

Pleasure to see you again, Becks. And this DM song...even the studio version has a "Live Echo". SUBLIME S&R. And about the song? Well what we do know is that the band has a documented history of drug abuse (specially Gahan, who in 1996 try to kill himself with a drug cocktail in his hotel room). Or put another way, 'flying high', in a heady sense, is something DM themselves have admitted to enjoying.

It's about a guy and his drug of choice, no doubt. I don't find it ambiguous at all. The trousers thing refers to the power struggle between the drug and the user. Every addict thinks they're in control, until they realize they aren't. They would later release even darker songs on the subject, eg. "In Your Room" and "Barrel Of A Gun". I think Martin writes beautifully about this painful subject, and the songs are gorgeous.

Anyone can interpret a song the way they like. I read this is about Gahans struggle with Drugs and his quitting them finally. He was seriously addicted and came out alive. I never want my feet to touch the ground. That’s him saying he wanted to keep using but if he listened to that inner voice he’d be dead. This is why there are no old junkies. They don’t live long. I’m glad he overcame his inner demons. Gore had a problem with Alcohol and he quit too! They both saved themselves. I’m glad.
