RIP RJD! Didn't know anything about this great man until I came across a young family band named Liliac and their lead singer is obsessed with him and they do covers of both songs but The Last in Line is really special because his wife Wendy Dio ask them to cover it for his Cancer Fund Tribute and they killed it Please check it out. I'm sure if Ronnie James Dio was alive today, he would have loved seeing you getting so into his music... By all accounts, he was so gracious and thankful for his fans... Ronnie Dio was never this tight personality who didn't want to interact w/ his fans... which is exactly why he was so popular, even when heavy metal fell out of commercial flavor. He played clubs when he had to, traveled all over the world to play concerts, and never gave up on his loyal fanbase 🤘🤘

I got to see Dio in 1986 at the Texxas Jam... there are 3 voices in the heavy metal trinity (Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, and The Metal God Rob Halford of Judas Priest) and I've been blessed to have had the chance to see them all at the top of their game. I really enjoyed experiencing the music with you. I can't begin to tell you how many air guitar strings and invisible drum sticks I've broken while banging my head and basically probably looking like I was having some kind of seizure to people who might have seen me when the music takes over...when the feeling hits you there's not a thing left to do but go with it and enjoy yourself. You looked like you were having a good time and my 54 year old self was dancing with you so thank you for the dance.

Yes the best time for metal forsure I was in my teens and standard uniform for high school was jeans and a band tee. concerts were only 20 bucks and I'm proud to be a veteran of over 200 shows in my lifetime including Dio.

Dio had one of the greatest voices I’ve all time, he could sing anything. Apparently he was a trained in opera? His time here, these years were great. He was awesome with Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and then solo and late 2000’s back with sabbath under the banner (heaven and hell), which was epic.

I concur with other comments that you should check out the completely independent family band called Liliac. They do some great Dio covers and have 2 albums of original music as well. They are working on a new album now, due to be released this summer. Loved your rocking reaction!
