Another excellent video Gustav! You should be a teacher! You have a gift for it, and also your videos are the best! Of course you would most likely have to take a cut in pay to be a teacher. You are the man thank you so much for taking time to show the rest of us the easy way to do things, without having to fumble and bumble our way through it, making all kinds of stupid mistakes along the way!

Hi Arvin! Yes sir, this won't work with the stock exhaust, but I was able to make it work when I had my stock exhaust by using small pieces of wood under the lifting arms. But it's not recommended

@@ontherebel11 Do you know of any modifications to the sliders on your paddock stand that would enable it to be used with the stock exhaust or is it better to simply remove the slip-on muffler in any case?
@ontherebel11
@ontherebel11 Жыл бұрын
Hi ray, I used to tape 2x4 pieces of wood to the lifting arms to clear the exhaust. In order to get the right leverage, I have to roll the rear wheel on a 2x4 piece of wood as well.... In my chain adjustment video, you'll be able to see the 2x4 under the swingarm. I wouldn't recommend doing it that way as it is dangerous.

Hey Gus! I commented on another video. I was able to find one at a further out harbor freight. They didn’t have them ANYWHERE else. I guess I got lucky because this was the last one they had! @ontherebel11
@ontherebel11 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ron, great to hear from you brother! What worked for me with the stock exhaust is to tape 2 pucks of 2x4s like the one I placed under the side stand, on the lifting arms of the stand to give me the clearance I needed. To make lifting the bike easier, I rolled the rear wheel on top of a 3 foot long 2x4. It's a little tricky, but definitely got the job done for a 1/5 of the cost of a pit bull stand.

Depends how tight you are with cash...i.e.;fit R&G bobbins through the rear axle, have fitting on the stand to fit said bobbins, easy lift...for whole bike lift... buy one of the small table type scissors lifts that goes up with a airgun/ratchet get an engineer to bore a piece of billet aluminium the same diameter as the bottom frame rail,cut it in half, fix to scissor lift...whole rear end can then be removed anytime!
