There are teasers and trailers which leave us feeling like we just watched the whole movie. And then there are trailers like this. Which start off small and scene after scene ramp up the epicness notch by notch and we're left only with speculations. And I am so jazzed for this movie.

Visuals aside, how much effort has been put into the script? That will be the decider. Intriguing imagery is the stuff of a thousand trailers. Trailers hype you up, and then the movies themselves usually bring you crashing down to earth again.

I didn't enjoy Zack Snyder's DC movies but I am very interested in what this movie was about. It was pitched as a Star Wars movie to Lucasfilm during the Disney acquisition and Zack wanted it to be R-Rated and not have any of the pre-established characters but they turned it down which I am glad they did because I am not interested to see what Zack had in store considering his other body of work and him maybe having Objectivist leanings as well as the idea of an R-Rated Star Wars movie because what would it even be R-Rated for?

Just an amalgamation of a ton of Zachs previous work. I see alot of elements from Man of steel, JL, the team aspect of Army films, the bird in flight from Legend of the Guardians, War themes from Immortals and 300... referencing of source material i.e. Watchmen with his parallels to Star Wars (How in 40 years have Disney and Lucafilm not evolved the look and feel of lightsabers in comparison to the 5seconds of greatness these lightsabers showed is insane...) Hopefully his writing is as peak as his visuals... the camerawork and cgi look phenomenal. The costumes look detailed. I really couldnt be more excited. Netflix has trusted Zach and let him do his thing so hopefully it pays off for them both which would definitely mean a win for us as viewers. Fk i love new, exciting non regurgitated content. I really enjoyed 300 and Watchmen. I didn't care for his DCEU films or Army of the Dead, but I'm always willing to give a new IP a chance. Especially if it's a new sci-fi/fantasy story.

Lots of sci-fi inspiration like Star Wars and Dune (off the top of my head) and lots of fantasy inspirations (a griffon and anyone who has played D&D will instantly think of a drider when the spider lady shows up... but also Asian folklore). Looks cool. Nothing wrong with some good sci-fi fantasy that might gives us something a bit different then Star Wars or Star Trek for a change. The soldiers reminded me of the Astra Militarum from 40K, which in itself gets its inspiration from works like Dune and 2000 AD.

Btw, Zack Snyder pitched this to Disney as a Star Wars story (confirmed) taking place long ago, like really long BBY even if rumour says true (rumour about very long ago). Disney rejected.

I knew that they would bring Henry Cavil, Ben Affleck, Momoa, Ezra Miller, Galgadot, to Rebelmon, and he would join the Justice League in Rebelmon, he would blow people's minds, so what Snyder brings in the end is a bomb at the end. end of that, I hope so friend, if it happens it's going to drive you crazy, your enthusiasm is through the roof.

For those who don't know this movie was originally written by Zack Snyder as a script for Lucasfilm when he being courted to direct a Star Wars film right before he got the Warner Bros. DC movies deal. So, yes indeed it is Zack Snyder's Star Wars and it is called Rebel Moon for that reason.

imo looks like mix of pathfinder+starfinder tabletop rpg. if unfamiliar: closest thing to competing with the dungeons and dragons brand name in the tabletop industry. company that makes pathfinder made a sci fi version called starfinder. 2025 starfinder 2e releases which is 100% rule compatible with pathfinder 2e which alot of fans are excited on. besides rule mechanics there is gonna be a big lore thing on why those two are connecting since they are similar with same species and world they came from but different timelines with starfinder the homeworld suddenly vanished and ppl lost 1000 years of history in memories and recorded info. side: also reason they are doing this now is after the bs that the owners of dnd, wizards of the coast @$!% up back in jan on the open game license many rpgs be 3rd party for dnd and other rpg companies with dnd roots since 2000. mainly threaten to sue and take profit of any dnd relevance. this part may get you to understand kyle if reading: one @#$! up of open game license they try to do was they demand a cut you make based on how much you made ANYWHERE related to dnd. this isnt just youtube its also patreon, twitch, kickstarter, etsy, you name it even all together. this angered alot of content creators. its like if disney suddenly demanded cut of anything star wars related you do on any website that you use. why they did it? thats alot im not gonna type here. if you or ppl that curious look up ogl 1.0 and your gonna get answers wth happened to the dnd brand and shift in rpg market. will say this on how bad they did it: it lead to partial boycott of the dnd movie earlier this year.
