This video is thematic in the sense that it avoids the main topic, the movie, for a good chunk of it's runtime because there's nothing to actually say about a movie with nothing to say.

When studios stop giving big name directors carte blanche, have a robust and thorough scripting and planning process, and find an f-ing editing team that can and will fix pacing and context, we might start getting better products. Snyder unleashed is objectively stupid. Netflix gave him free reign with that stupid zombie heist movie; did the execs believe he was gonna somehow improve after that? Thank you for your sacrifice, Fake Wizard!

Man I remember watching V when it first aired on broadcast TV back in.....what....1985? I was in the 5th grade back then, during the summer. I was SO riveted by that scifi show! Those were good times. Back when broadcast TV was good and there were so many amazing TV shows and good writing. None of this woke bullshit like the Acolyte. Back when there was good writing.

As a huge fan of rebel Moon, I'd strongly advise that you just stop watching these movies instead of wishing for them to be cancelled without respect for the fans of the franchise. Nobody forces you to watch them after all... Rebel Moon is pure genious (no need for anyone to try to convince me otherwise, I already watched them in a row twice and enjoyed every second) :P
@RealLifeFakeWizard2 ай бұрын
Firstly, thank you for the post engagement. Secondly, I've said in future videos that this deserves to get a completed story, but not in 6 films. It shouldn't get cancelled because people like you have bought into it and deserve a finale. That being said, these films are pretty rough to sit through.

@@RealLifeFakeWizard I was answering to the title of your video, which can only get on the nerves of the fans 😉 I really feel bad for those of you who didn't like these movies. Especially when for the fans it's 6h30 of absolute pleasure. I just wish that those who don't like them chose to be less aggressive. After all, even if I'm a huge fan, these are just movies, not life-and-death political decisions...

If Zack Snyder had gotten the rights to produce the Henry Cavil Warhammer 40,000 project..... Would that have been a good, or a bad thing?
@Eirath3 ай бұрын
Yup. Quite on the point. Watched the original cuts and have NO interests whatsoever in watching these extended cuts (that Snyder for some inbred reason insists in calling "Directors Cuts"). Because we all know after watching the original cuts that they cannot be saved. No minor editing or extra scenes in the world can change the hollowness of the characters and plots, because the awful scenes that are already there are... already there. And we know Snyder. It will just be more pointless expositions, slo-mo and bad excuses for lengthy unnecessary action scenes. The man has been in a downward spiral for a long time now with his movies. And your AI comparison is somehow just spot on for what's happening with his directing and writing.

Harrison Ford losing his shit is the most Harrison Ford thing Harrison Ford could do in an existencial crisis like that... Watched both today. 1st is good now, though not good enough, but, to be fair, it stands now on a solid foundation, for the bigger part I can live with that. 2nd one on the other hand didn't change much of importance, leaving it still on a kinda bad spot, biggest weak spot is the character-progression, which doesn't exist, even though it's an hour longer. Only character-progression in general is the warbot, he should've been the main character. Funny, a depressive warbot being more "human" than actual humans. Bad stuff, both movies are 30 minutes too long for nothing, main character has 2 unneccessary sex scenes, bad guy has Hentai-Sex (WTF!?), and the giant outer-dimensional cyber-goddess should've rampaged through the ship, her awakening being just a telepathic vision-like communication might've been a bad call, but what she says is good & hints at something important for the future. I do like the concept, the universe, but the script & directing, though better now, is still weak, even bad at times, depends on the scene, lots of half baked ideas, if at all. Biggest win, it's R-Rated SW looking/feeling like WH40K, something I want. If your brain can see this as being Anime (simple story, lackluster characters, but entertaining spectacle), you might like this. Release this on BR, I might buy it.

The Disney Star Wars suck, but in 20 years all the ten year olds who enjoy it will defend them the way the ten year olds who liked the prequels defend them today. Every Star Wars fan HATED the prequels back then. Anyone remember the neoGAF and SWBB's with lists of books rendered non canon because of midochlorians? Every plot hole the prequels introduced? The 35+ retcon edits done to the original trilogy because of the prequels? Remember when George Lucas said he doesnt care about the extended universe lore? It blows my mind that there are people that defend the prequels and stuff like the midochlorians, like that was a GOOD thing. People complaining about breaking Star Wars lore while the prequels shit all over its lore and erased so much of it. It's wild. At least with Disney the attitude is like "you know how you think things happened? Well this is secretly how it really happened" With George Lucas it was "you know how you think things happened? Fuck it im rewriting it"
